Manage and collect on past-due community banking commercial loans by making collection calls, negotiating repayment and loss mitigation plans, maintaining contact and payment records, coordinating with loan officers and outside counsel, performing site visits and collateral inspections, and ensuring regulatory compliance to reduce bank losses.

Local travel within Chicagoland required.

Review and analyze automated and ad-hoc BSA/AML alerts to identify unusual activity. Conduct secondary reviews, document dispositions, vet referrals, handle 314b/legal/law enforcement requests, and communicate with lines of business to gather information. Support BSA compliance and attend training.

Lead operational risk and compliance for Credit & Lending Operations, including developing centralized quality control, conducting risk assessments (RCSA, BSA/AML, SOX), managing regulatory exams and remediation, owning controls/KPIs, policy governance, and training to embed risk culture. Coordinate with business, compliance, audit, and third parties to monitor, report, and mitigate operational risks and drive continuous process improvements.

Lead design and execution of an enterprise lending quality control framework. Oversee post-funding reviews, defect identification, root-cause analysis, governance reporting, and remediation. Partner with lending, credit, compliance, and operations to drive process improvements, automation, and training while developing a high-performing QC team and ensuring regulatory and policy compliance across lending products.

Manage lien perfection and collateral administration for commercial and consumer loans, oversee insurance and tax tracking, ensure loan eligibility for pledging, lead team performance, process improvements, vendor/IT collaboration, and handle complex escalations and reporting.
