Develop and support mainframe-based financial reporting systems involving premiums, claims, and reserve calculations. Translate actuarial business needs into software changes, collaborate with technical and business experts, guide less experienced engineers, conduct code and design reviews, and improve engineering standards and core systems. Serve as in-house counsel for complex civil litigation from intake through resolution. Develop case strategy, oversee discovery and eDiscovery, manage pleadings and motions, prepare witnesses, lead settlement negotiations, and coordinate with outside counsel. Advise executives and business leaders on litigation risk, mitigation, resolution strategies, and enterprise best practices while managing outside counsel performance, budgets, and metrics.

Consults with financial advisors on integrated planning practices, investment products, portfolios, suitability, and client recommendations. Coaches advisors on financial plan presentations, sales processes, and objection handling. Leads projects to improve centralized planning services, workflows, adoption, productivity, and field-office alignment. Develops training, tools, best practices, and educational resources while analyzing business opportunities and implementation barriers.

Build and standardize ML Ops services, data pipelines, automation, monitoring, and governance for predictive and generative AI systems. Develop scalable pipelines and integrations across Databricks, AWS SageMaker, and AWS Bedrock; establish feature stores; optimize data processing; and support model deployment, inference, evaluation, and lifecycle management. The role also architects complex data systems, oversees CI/CD pipelines, enhances system performance, translates requirements into solutions, and mentors junior engineers.

Designs curricula, learning pathways, and instructional programs for underwriting operations. Conducts needs analyses, develops learning assets, assessments, metrics, and evaluation strategies, and analyzes learner outcomes to improve programs. Consults with stakeholders and subject matter experts, manages complex cross-functional projects, oversees external consultants and vendors, and applies emerging learning technologies and best practices.

Performs independent compliance reviews, documents findings and risk assessments, coordinates remediation, evaluates and escalates compliance issues, advises business partners, interprets regulatory requirements, and improves compliance policies, controls, processes, and documentation. The role requires collaboration across stakeholders and may lead portions of process-improvement initiatives.

Underwrite and administer insurance licensing and registration processes by analyzing eligibility, compliance requirements, applications, continuing education, and state appointments. Provide timely customer service to field and home office partners, resolve routine and complex inquiries, cross-reference licensing records, escalate specialized issues, meet service-level goals, and identify process improvements. The role also supports compliance accuracy and may coach team members on customer service responsibilities.

The role involves leading software engineering efforts, mentoring junior engineers, developing Kubernetes solutions, and improving CI/CD processes. Requires extensive experience in cloud technologies and programming.
