Supports Counter-Unmanned Systems research and development through full-lifecycle systems engineering, including requirements management, architecture, integration, verification, validation, trade studies, risk assessment, and technical documentation. Integrates sensors, communications, autonomy software, and command-and-control systems while collaborating with engineers, testers, scientists, and government stakeholders. The role also addresses cloud, virtualization, containerization, cybersecurity, system monitoring, performance tuning, upgrades, and deployments for defense programs.

Supports Counter-Unmanned Systems programs at NSWC Crane through program, technical, and logistics coordination. Responsibilities include managing communications, developing reports and schedules, coordinating customer requirements, organizing meetings, preparing briefings, maintaining program files and databases, tracking action items, and supporting workflow completion. The role requires strong organization, communication, multitasking, Microsoft Office proficiency, and an active Secret clearance.

Designs, deploys, integrates, monitors, and troubleshoots enterprise network, server, storage, backup, cloud, and client/server systems. Responsibilities include network administration, virtualization, patching, performance optimization, security compliance, certification and accreditation support, documentation, technical consultation, infrastructure planning, and technology evaluations. The role also leads major assignments, advises management on technology investments, supports operational issue resolution, and may supervise team members.

Designs plant piping systems and equipment layouts using SmartPlant 3D or similar BIM tools. Develops equipment arrangement deliverables, resolves model interferences, integrates BIM tools, supports piping stress analysis and pipe support design, manages material lists and reports, and coordinates with civil, structural, and piping engineering teams. The role requires chemical process industrial mechanical and piping design experience, occasional field travel, and work near construction and hazardous equipment.

Develops, validates, and analyzes modeling and simulation systems for counter-unmanned systems programs. Evaluates performance, survivability, autonomy, and mission effectiveness; supports trade studies, test planning, risk assessments, and design decisions. Integrates digital models, correlates simulations with live test data, maintains simulation frameworks, prepares technical documentation and briefings, and ensures compliance with defense modeling standards and security requirements.

Provides senior engineering leadership for Counter Unmanned Systems research and development programs at NSWC Crane. Owns technical baselines, systems integration, design reviews, risk assessments, configuration decisions, and engineering execution across multidisciplinary teams. Translates research into deployable solutions for contested environments, oversees budgets and schedules, ensures compliance with standards, evaluates emerging technologies, and represents engineering strategy to executives, government stakeholders, partners, and clients.

Designs plant piping systems and equipment layouts using SmartPlant 3D or similar BIM tools. Develops equipment arrangement deliverables, manages model outputs, supports pipe specifications and stress analysis, coordinates pipe supports and underground interfaces, and resolves model interferences. Requires chemical-process industrial mechanical and piping design experience, extensive BIM experience, teamwork, occasional field travel, and the ability to work near construction equipment and hazardous conditions.

Develops, edits, and maintains technical documentation, user guides, procedures, specifications, training materials, style guides, and executive communications. Translates complex technology concepts for technical and non-technical audiences while collaborating with engineering teams, stakeholders, and leadership. Supports information architecture, documentation repositories, application modernization, technical roadmaps, and enterprise technology initiatives in an onsite federal environment.
