Collaborates with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing sites to improve quality, yield, tooling life, cycle time, cost, and launch performance. Uses CAD and engineering software to standardize tooling designs and manage technical data.

Provides foundational IT support by resolving help desk tickets, configuring hardware, maintaining software, troubleshooting networks, managing IT assets, documenting processes, and supporting user accounts. The intern will also assist with IT security audits, process automation using scripting and AI tools, system upgrades, data migrations, onboarding, and walk-up support.

Support, maintain, and improve IT infrastructure for automotive manufacturing. Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, virtualization (VMware/VDI/HyperV), backups, patches, and enterprise apps. Troubleshoot escalations, ensure stability/security, lead disaster recovery, coordinate vendors, drive continuous improvement, and support compliance and IT projects.

Supports the design, development, integration, validation, and launch of vehicle systems and complete vehicle programs. Coordinates engineering requirements, technical reviews, validation plans, supplier and cross-functional activities, issue resolution, documentation, and milestone tracking. The role also supports manufacturing feasibility, prototype and production builds, vehicle launches, benchmarking, virtual integration, and regulatory compliance while balancing quality, cost, and timing objectives.

Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, and sets up and operates machine tools. Fits and assembles components to fabricate and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists’ hand tools. Modifies dies to reflect engineering changes and provides guidance to apprentices.

Sources and procures raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies for assigned product commodities. Develops and evaluates suppliers, conducts vendor visits, negotiates pricing, maintains appropriate inventory levels, and ensures uninterrupted production. Serves as a strategic liaison with suppliers to satisfy material requirements and customer release schedules.

Directs purchasing operations, including supplier selection, purchase orders, market analysis, contract compliance, commodity sourcing, supplier performance, cost reduction, and purchasing procedures. Supervises personnel, coordinates with internal departments and suppliers, establishes purchasing goals, addresses grievances, and ensures environmental, health, and safety compliance across purchasing activities.

Leads tooling standards, process improvements, dimensional capability studies, simulation correlation, GD&T interpretation, and manufacturing troubleshooting. Collaborates with global casting operations, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to improve quality, yield, cost, and cycle times. Supports new product development, value engineering, CAD data management, and technical problem-solving across automotive casting programs.
