Lead application development and medium-sized projects for semiconductor metrology products. Create and evaluate characterization and field test plans, diagnose and resolve complex customer issues, develop application procedures, documentation, and training, own demos, and represent applications for PLC projects. Support alpha/beta testing, data quality review, and develop best-known methods for pre-release and existing products.

Integrate, test, and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical and optical systems. Run system-level diagnostics, support system bring-up, collaborate with R&D and field service, operate lab equipment, and maintain technical documentation to ensure quality and readiness.

Manage product configuration specifications, ensure sales order configuration accuracy, maintain PCS documents (KMAT, BOM, pricing, rules), validate Variant Configurator and SAP changes, chair order review meetings, and ensure accuracy of C point database and weekly MRP loading.

Provide technical applications support for KLA products in customer fabs, lead troubleshooting and escalation, run experiments to characterize tool/subcomponent performance, develop process recipes and models, and deliver customer training.

Design, develop, release, and support embedded firmware and Windows desktop software for measurement instruments. Implement real-time microcontroller firmware, desktop GUIs and data analysis (C#, .NET, C/C++), collaborate with hardware engineers on board bring-up and debugging, build tests and profiling, participate in design reviews, troubleshoot systems, and adopt new technologies including AI/ML where applicable.

Provide on-site and remote application support to customers for ICOS vision inspection and sorting tools: recipe setup and optimization, tool troubleshooting, BKM generation, cross-site customer support, and escalation coordination with product, sales, and management to ensure customer satisfaction.

Develop and optimize PVD deposition processes, run demo tools for customer wafers, analyze film properties with metrology tools, write technical reports and IP submissions, supervise junior engineers, provide remote and onsite field support, and perform some project coordination. Role requires shift work and occasional international travel.
