Experience with open source, APIs, infrastructure software, and fast-moving scale-ups is preferred or advantageous. Travel to customer sites will be required 30%–50% of the time.

Operate and scale Kong’s global multi-region SaaS platform across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Build Kubernetes infrastructure, Terraform-based automation, Helm and ArgoCD deployment workflows, CI/CD pipelines, observability systems, and highly available data layers. Improve Kong Gateway and Mesh environments, reliability, scalability, security, disaster recovery, and cost efficiency. Participate in 24/7 on-call, incident response, SLO tracking, postmortems, and operational improvement initiatives.

Manages a team of 6–10 technical support engineers serving enterprise customers. Responsibilities include coaching, performance management, customer escalations, process improvement, cross-functional collaboration with Product and Engineering, and improving customer experience. The role requires expertise in enterprise technologies such as APIs, networking, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, containers, and distributed systems, along with experience managing production-impacting issues and using support and collaboration tools.
