Own automated and manual optical testing for lenses, fiber optics, lasers, LEDs, and photodiodes. Validates high-speed optical transceiver modules up to 1.6T through electrical characterization, automation, interoperability testing, environmental stress testing, and system-level debugging. The role develops Python test automation, analyzes signal integrity and link performance, supports module bring-up and firmware validation, tunes optical components and DSPs, and collaborates with hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and vendors to resolve issues and qualify products.

Develops and validates high-speed transceiver systems through functional, performance, environmental, and reliability testing. Builds Python automation for test execution and analysis, supports platform bring-up and firmware validation, contributes to DSP tuning, and diagnoses signal-integrity and link-performance issues using oscilloscopes, BERTs, and VNAs. Collaborates with hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and vendor teams to identify root causes and resolve technical issues.

Lead physical design and implementation for complex SoC and SerDes/interconnect designs from RTL through GDSII tapeout. Responsibilities include floorplanning, power and clock planning, place-and-route, PPA optimization, timing, power, noise, EM/IR-drop analysis, physical verification, signoff, IP integration, flow automation, and methodology development.

Manage Silicon Photonics development projects from planning through execution. Coordinate engineering, testing, packaging, operations, manufacturing, and external partners; maintain schedules, milestones, and action tracking; lead meetings; communicate status and risks; resolve issues; and drive accountability across cross-functional teams without direct managerial authority.

Lead development of scalable lab automation and validation infrastructure for 800G and 1.6T optical modules. Architect Python and C++ frameworks, integrate optical and electrical test instrumentation, automate signal and traffic testing, build data pipelines and dashboards, and orchestrate distributed laboratories with CI/CD integration across major networking platforms.
