Leads the hotel’s finance function, overseeing accounting, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, expense controls, compliance, and internal controls. Develops operating plans and financial goals, reviews departmental performance and expenditures, advises leadership on financial decisions, and supports sales and business planning. Manages accounting staff and hotel management objectives while ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, asset protection, and staff development.

Leads Hotel Commonwealth’s sales and marketing strategy, driving revenue, market share, group business, transient segments, consortia, corporate accounts, and luxury travel partnerships. Oversees integrated digital, email, social media, public relations, and experiential marketing initiatives; manages third-party partners; collaborates with revenue management on pricing and inventory strategy; and leads, coaches, and develops a commercial team of 5–8 associates.

Maintains hotel accounting functions including income audit, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general cashier duties, daily reconciliations, revenue reporting, group billing, and payroll processing. Investigates discrepancies, prepares financial reports, supports accounting compliance, trains departments on accounting procedures, and communicates revenue issues to hotel leadership while maintaining accurate records and service standards.

Leads hotel sales and marketing efforts to achieve revenue, occupancy, and profitability goals. Responsibilities include managing sales staff, developing new and existing accounts, prospecting, negotiating rates and event commitments, implementing ecommerce marketing strategies, maintaining client relationships, monitoring competition, and adjusting sales plans based on market trends. Requires at least four years of hotel sales management experience, strong sales and customer service skills, travel availability, and a valid driver’s license.

Provides account service, conducts walk-in tours, assists with client events and sales activities, follows up on customer needs, and helps ensure groups and meetings are executed successfully.
