Lead the architecture and integration of AI/ML, software, data, automation, and full-stack solutions. Establish engineering, API, CI/CD, DevOps, security, and cloud-native standards; resolve complex legacy integration challenges; oversee performance and failure mitigation; and coordinate deployments with stakeholders, vendors, and executives while ensuring secure, sustainable, interoperable, and auditable systems.

Coordinates district PEIMS and TSDS data collection, auditing, and reporting. Ensures reporting departments and campuses meet strategic goals and Texas Education Agency mandates by supporting accurate, timely data submissions. Provides campus training and ongoing assistance to improve data quality and collection compliance.

Designs, integrates, validates, and improves data systems supporting a school district’s Teacher Incentive Allotment program. Builds longitudinal student-teacher datasets and automated assessment pipelines, develops and validates student growth models, simulates teacher designations, forecasts funding, maintains dashboards, supports TEA submissions, conducts data-quality and fairness analyses, and briefs district leaders. The role also documents methodologies, evaluates policy changes, identifies participation and measurement risks, and collaborates with Finance, HR, principals, and TIA committees.

Creates original Pre-K instructional content, developmentally appropriate lessons, and materials aligned with district expectations, Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines, and NES instructional structures. Designs resources for English and Dual Language classrooms supporting oral language, vocabulary, early literacy, comprehension, phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge, and kindergarten readiness. Collaborates with early childhood, professional development, and curriculum design partners to ensure quality, alignment, and timely delivery.

Develop Houston ISD New Education System Art of Thinking curriculum. Create teacher-facing materials, including implementation guidance slide decks, Demonstrations of Learning, student activities, and differentiated assignments aligned with daily learning objectives.

Designs and develops accessible, specially designed reading language arts curriculum for self-contained special education classrooms using Science of Reading and structured literacy principles. Creates materials aligned with IEP goals and alternate standards, develops job-embedded professional learning, evaluates accessibility and effectiveness, collaborates with special education and literacy experts, and uses student data and feedback to improve curriculum and intervention supports.

Provides strategic and operational leadership for an in-plant print shop, document imaging, and graphic design department. Oversees production, service delivery, customer relationships, budgeting, pricing, cost recovery, compliance, staffing, performance, and continuous improvement. Develops marketing and customer education strategies, identifies revenue opportunities, manages partnerships, and advises stakeholders on complex projects. Leads long-range planning and cross-functional initiatives affecting multiple departments or the district.

Performs standard and advanced secretarial and administrative duties under general supervision. Supports a manager or senior manager, completes independent project assignments, and applies department practices and district policies and procedures.

Supports implementation of the Teacher Excellence System by coordinating stakeholder engagement, teacher evaluation tool development, pilot testing, training, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Tracks project activities, schedules, resources, risks, and milestones while collaborating across departments to ensure effective and timely implementation. May provide guidance and training to staff but has no supervisory responsibilities.

Leads technical architecture for complex AI/ML and custom software initiatives. Translates strategic vision into scalable systems integrating enterprise data, intelligent automation, and full-stack applications. Establishes engineering and CI/CD standards, resolves system design and performance issues, mentors engineering staff, and modernizes legacy systems for long-term sustainability.
