Build and maintain the Imara Impact backend: design, develop, test, and document scalable, secure Java/Spring services (microservices/AWS). Ensure data security, participate in agile rituals, coordinate with team members, and support feature development and platform reliability.

Build, deploy, monitor, and optimise production-grade agentic and LLM systems to detect and prevent risk and fraud. Mentor analytics engineering staff and collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, Product, Finance, Operations, and Architecture. Build reliable, scalable data models and standardized metrics that enable trusted self-service analytics. The role requires strong stakeholder communication, business context, and advanced analytics engineering and BI engineering expertise.

Develop, maintain, and scale Scala-based backend systems. Apply functional programming (Typelevel/Cats/Cats Effect), ensure security and data protection, participate in agile rituals, document work, collaborate with the tech team, and deliver high-quality, testable microservices on AWS.

Provide second-line application support: investigate and resolve escalated incidents using logs, database queries and AWS, configure and test platform products and business rules, build monitoring/alerts, translate product requirements into configurations, document processes, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve systems.
