Manages engineering configuration control and change management throughout shipbuilding projects. Establishes design baselines, processes engineering change requests, maintains equipment and parts data, coordinates material takeoffs and requisitions, and manages vendor- and owner-furnished information. Collaborates across engineering, procurement, production, project management, clients, and vendors. Develops workflows, dashboards, reports, audits, and data controls, applying AI and analytics to improve traceability, discrepancy resolution, and project visibility.

Performs lofting, nesting, template preparation, and plate and structure planning for shipbuilding projects. Coordinates with Engineering and Production teams to support fabrication, resolve drawing clarifications, and confirm part locations. Uses 3D models to improve production clarity and align build strategies. Requires basic CAD knowledge, attention to detail, organization, communication skills, and willingness to learn ship construction practices. Work occurs in office and occasional shipyard settings.

Coordinate engineering disciplines, subcontractors, and resources to plan, estimate, schedule (>1000 hour) shipbuilding projects. Develop estimates and integrated schedules, report status, lead resolution meetings, support RFP responses, and drive projects to completion while mentoring junior staff and occasionally supervising matrixed engineering resources.

Develop and maintain project and production-level schedules, update MS Planner/Primavera status, analyze schedule performance (SPI/CPI), coordinate with discipline managers, project engineers, payroll, and subcontractors, and assist engineering leadership with manpower projections and special research projects.
