Provides reference, research, evaluation, circulation, collection management, and instructional services for an Information Center. Responsibilities include managing print and electronic resources, advising on copyright compliance, training patrons and staff, maintaining web-based resources, supporting cataloging and serials management, and producing evaluative reports. The role requires strong library and information science expertise, technology proficiency, communication skills, and cultural sensitivity.

Performs original and copy cataloging for print, technical, specialized, and government materials in a federal library. Creates and maintains accurate MARC bibliographic records using RDA, AACR2, LCSH, classification systems, and authority control. Conducts subject analysis, researches complex materials, edits records, and performs quality-control reviews to support discovery and access. Requires an ALA-accredited MLS or MLIS, at least two years of cataloging experience, and on-site work in Alexandria, Virginia.

Manage and maintain library website/CMS, electronic journals, subscription databases, authentication/proxy services, and digital collections. Create and maintain metadata, monitor access, troubleshoot vendor and subscription issues, generate usage reports, support content discovery tools, ensure licensing and cybersecurity compliance, and collaborate with librarians and technical staff to improve workflows and user experience.
