Provide senior technical leadership for Oracle, SQL Server and Cosmos DB across on‑prem, cloud and retail/OT sites. Lead database architecture, upgrades, migrations, cloud integration and performance optimisation. Own standards, roadmaps, governance and vendor-managed BAU oversight. Drive incident escalation, RCA, HA/DR, backup/recovery and security posture. Partner with Cloud, Infrastructure, Security and Application teams on modernisation, automation and delivery of major infrastructure and application projects.

Lead change enablement for a major retail transformation: develop change strategy, assess readiness, design role-based guidance and training, drive adoption across frontline and corporate teams, support leaders, monitor adoption and risks, and transition initiatives into BAU with post-go-live stabilization.
