Lead a complex fusion-energy manufacturing program from concept through pilot and commercial scale-up. Oversee process and equipment design, installation, qualification, manufacturing readiness, vendor management, risk mitigation, and cross-functional execution. Partner with physics, engineering, manufacturing, operations, and leadership teams to resolve technical challenges, track readiness metrics, and accelerate production of core magnet technology.

Leads the development, integration, commissioning, maintenance, and operational support of control and data systems for prototype equipment, test stands, and superconducting-magnet facilities. Manages a multidisciplinary engineering team, translates program requirements into safe and reliable systems, oversees instrumentation and controls software, coordinates vendors and interfaces, and directs testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and field work in hazardous laboratory and industrial environments.

Requires substantial experience delivering complex electrical or power-supply systems and supervising engineering teams.

Perform advanced finite element analyses for stellarator systems, including nonlinear structural, thermal, vibration, and magnetic simulations. Develop complex models involving contacts, plasticity, large deformations, materials, and welds; optimize structural designs; and provide data-driven recommendations for critical engineering decisions. The role also includes scripting around FEA tools, supporting first-of-a-kind system development, improving designs, and providing technical guidance and peer review to junior analysts.

Performs advanced finite element analysis and coupled multiphysics simulations for stellarator systems, including thermal, structural, vibration, and magnetic loading. Develops system-level models, evaluates stress, fatigue, creep, and transient conditions, optimizes designs, and improves material models. Establishes FEA methodology, supports high-risk engineering decisions, mentors junior analysts, conducts peer reviews, and serves as a subject matter expert on weld evaluations and cryogenic material behavior.

Design and develop mechanical fusion components and subsystems for stellarator systems. Responsibilities include structural, thermal, and electromagnetic analysis; CAD design and drawings; tooling design; manufacturability; vendor and manufacturing support; commissioning; and qualification testing. The role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and solving complex engineering problems in a fast-paced environment.

Leads the end-to-end design, fabrication, testing, commissioning, and factory deployment of large custom tooling, lifting rigs, fixtures, and handling equipment for fusion hardware. Responsibilities include structural analysis, supplier management, DFM/DFA, rigging safety, assembly planning, precision alignment, metrology, work instructions, and hands-on integration support for complex multi-ton systems.

Designs, analyzes, prototypes, manufactures, tests, and commissions mechanical components and subsystems for stellarator fusion systems. Responsibilities include structural, thermal, and electromagnetic simulation; CAD design and technical drawings; tooling; design for manufacturability; qualification testing; manufacturing support; progress reporting; stakeholder collaboration; and mentoring junior engineers.

Manage daily headquarters operations, facilities, supplies, purchasing, vendors, reception, deliveries, office lunches, and administrative support. Coordinate interviews, onboarding, orientation, intern programs, employee engagement, events, and corporate swag. Collaborate with facilities, marketing, communications, and management teams while identifying process improvements and supporting a rapidly scaling company.

Lead the development, validation, and scale-up of manufacturing processes for high-temperature superconducting magnets. Responsibilities include creating manufacturing documentation, designing and commissioning tooling and automated equipment, driving design for manufacturability, managing BOMs and workflows in PLM/MRP systems, evaluating suppliers, mentoring technical staff, and overseeing manufacturing schedules and budgets.
