As an Immigration Legal Services Intern, you will assist with client intakes, filing immigration applications, and learning about U.S. immigration processes under the guidance of IRC staff.

The Operations Support Intern aids the operations team, performing tasks such as client assistance, vehicle maintenance, and organizing supplies, while gaining experience in supporting humanitarian efforts.

Support resource development and grants work: research funding and donation opportunities, maintain grant databases, compile program data, assist proposal and donation applications, coordinate with finance and teams, help community engagement, events, and fundraising, and represent IRC at outreach activities.

Unpaid, in-person internship supporting pre-award grants work: research donor opportunities, maintain grants calendar and database, attend webinars, draft proposals for review, and assist the Grants Coordinator and Development Director. Requires submission of intern hours and participation for at least 15 hours/week over three months.

Perform data entry and backlog support across ETO, SDNP, and Salesforce; conduct database quality assurance and compliance checks; maintain Excel tracking sheets; deliver training and coaching to staff; assist with basic data analysis and timely reporting to meet grant requirements.

Support IRC operations with inventory management, labeling, loading/unloading donated household items, data entry (Excel), vehicle inspections, and administrative tasks. Commit 12 hours/week for at least three months; in-person unpaid internship reporting to Supply Chain Coordinator.

The Grants Program Supervisor manages proposal development, grant writing, and compliance for multiple funding streams, ensuring effective coordination and execution of grant-related activities.

The Operations Intern will assist with office inventory management, support event planning, and maintain digital and physical files while gaining exposure to non-profit operations and humanitarian efforts.

The Managing Attorney oversees immigration legal services at IRC-NY, supervises legal practitioners, and manages program operations including grant cycles and collaboration with community organizations.

The role involves leading and managing FCDO-funded projects in Crisis, Response, Recovery, and Development, with teams focused on education, health, safety, and economic wellbeing. Successful candidates will have extensive experience in program design and delivery, especially in fragile areas, and the ability to engage with government stakeholders.
