Accountable for quality and execution of major construction projects. Lead business development and bid responses, manage preconstruction/contract negotiations, oversee construction delivery, ensure safety, schedule, budget and profitability targets, and drive project close-out. Recruit, coach and evaluate project teams, enforce KPIs and continuous improvement, and support the Construction Director. Travel and temporary relocations required as projects demand.

The role coordinates labour-cost reporting for project and contractor personnel, supports project stakeholders through cost-management applications, and provides guidance on time entry and reporting. It requires strong analytical, communication, organizational, forecasting, and prioritization skills in a site-based construction environment.

The Cost Controller manages project cost controls, including budget development, forecasting, cash-flow reporting, cost tracking, estimates, purchase and work orders, invoices, timesheets, and labor-cost coordination. The role reports actual, committed, and forecasted expenditures, supports project reporting, allocates costs accurately, and advises stakeholders on time entry and cost-management processes. It requires strong analytical, forecasting, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills, along with advanced Excel knowledge and familiarity with project management systems.

Manage project cost control, including budget development, cost estimates, forecasting, cash flow, expenditure tracking, and actual-versus-planned reporting. Create work and purchase orders, manage invoices and timesheets, allocate costs to capital projects, coordinate labor-cost reporting, support project reporting, and guide cost-control personnel. The role requires advanced Excel skills, project management systems expertise, strong analytical abilities, and onsite work in Pickering and Darlington one to two times weekly.

Lead development and management of a scalable, compliant corporate travel program. Own vendor sourcing, negotiation, and SLAs; manage budgets and analyze travel spend; oversee booking and expense systems; improve employee experience; implement travel risk and duty-of-care protocols; partner with cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership to drive cost savings and program governance.

Responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, performing critical path and risk analyses, coordinating discipline schedules, monitoring subcontractor performance, supporting project presentations, preparing progress reports, and contributing to productivity and execution/submission strategies in a dynamic construction/EPC environment.

Support operational finance by importing journal entries, maintaining ERP project/customer data, processing AR/AP, preparing reconciliations and variance analysis, supporting month-end close, audit/tax requests, and improving reporting and record-keeping for construction contracts.

Supports construction operations and project teams with workforce administration, employee onboarding, HRIS and personnel records, payroll and timekeeping, workforce planning, recruitment coordination, reporting, meetings, and employee communications. The role also assists with HSE certification tracking, employee status changes, project staffing, events, and general administrative tasks while maintaining confidentiality and accurate records.
