Responsibilities include conducting legal research, analyzing facts and applicable law, developing litigation strategies, preparing and examining witnesses, presenting opening and closing arguments, making evidentiary objections, and communicating complex legal concepts clearly.

Coordinates statewide anti-human-trafficking training requests, scheduling, presenters, materials, travel, venues, technology, registration, and event logistics. Tracks attendance, evaluations, outputs, impact metrics, and grant-compliance documentation. Supports subject-matter experts in developing trauma-informed, evidence-based training and maintains training resources. Serves as liaison among prosecutors, law enforcement, victim-service providers, advocacy groups, and other partners while managing multiple projects and occasional statewide travel.

Coordinates interviews, hiring packages, onboarding, and Correctional Officer recruitment for a correctional facility’s Human Resources department. Performs Workday and Fiori SAP GUI tasks, answers basic pay questions, attends job fairs, prepares documents and reports, maintains filing systems, communicates with staff and visitors, and verifies data accuracy. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional stressful conditions and limited contact with offenders.

Develops and manages complex government agency budgets through financial analysis, forecasting, expenditure monitoring, policy interpretation, and fiscal-impact assessment. Prepares recommendations and multi-year budget plans, ensures compliance with state and federal requirements, identifies financial risks, and advises agency leaders, legislators, and committees. Uses quantitative analysis and financial data tools to support data-driven decisions. The role is hybrid with onsite reporting in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Provides administrative and customer support for North Carolina’s Motor Vehicle Safety and Emissions Inspection Program. Researches customer accounts and registration issues using DMV systems, processes inspection-related records and licensing actions, assists inspection stations with transactions, analyzes data to identify fraud or discrepancies, and refers potential violations for enforcement review.

Independently litigate complex cases, trials, and appeals in state and federal courts and administrative tribunals for the University of North Carolina system, covering civil rights, employment discrimination, constitutional claims, torts, libel/slander. Collaborate with management, colleagues, and clients. Some travel, including occasional overnight stays, is required.

Supervises the museum education branch and staff, overseeing public and school programming, outreach, exhibits, publications, teaching collections, volunteer training, budgets, hiring, performance evaluations, and long-range planning. Develops and evaluates maritime history, culture, and marine science programs; provides museum education expertise; manages educational materials and reports; and serves on the museum leadership team.
