Represent indigent clients charged with criminal offenses in District and Superior Court, focusing on high-level felony cases. Conduct legal research, develop defense strategies, investigate cases, negotiate with prosecutors, prepare and present evidence at hearings and trials, maintain client communication, visit clients in jail/prison, and adhere to ethical standards while collaborating with colleagues and support staff.

Provide administrative personnel support at a medium security prison: process weekly timesheets, maintain personnel files for ~150 staff, schedule interviews, prepare hiring packages, assist job fairs, run reports, educate staff on benefits, serve as backup for Administrative Specialist I, and maintain tracking spreadsheets.

Manage procurement for technology commodities and services for the Department of Transportation. Prepare purchase documentation, obtain quotes, develop RFQs/RFPs/IFBs, complete bid packages, and evaluate bids ensuring compliance with statutes, rules, and contracting requirements.

Manage the Plant Industry Division's budgeting, grants, contracts, HR, purchasing, and supervision. Advise leadership on fiscal policies, assist strategic planning and program implementation, and may serve as Acting Division Director.

Perform compliance reviews and unclaimed property audits of holders (banks, insurers, utilities, retailers, etc.), analyze financial records and schedules, support vendor-led audits, issue audit reports and findings, assist with holder education and outreach, and participate in risk assessment and audit planning. Provide phone/email support, prepare presentation materials, and perform related compliance tasks with occasional travel.

The position supports health and safety oversight in nursing facilities, evaluates training needs, implements CMS directives, and leads performance improvement initiatives.

Serve as subject-matter expert leading implementation, testing, and deployment of a modernized campaign finance reporting system. Coordinate project plans, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, analyze business processes, develop procedures and training, support county staff and stakeholders, and provide guidance and technical assistance to ensure secure, compliant system adoption.

Process vehicle registration renewals, titles, and plates: examine property tax info, process payments, update customer records in STARS, perform Remittance Processor data entry, and correspond with customers about discrepancies and owed fees.

Serve on the Office of Charter Schools team to administer charter school application, planning, compliance, renewal, and amendment processes; develop frameworks, policies, and materials for the Charter School Review Board and State Board; communicate with stakeholders; conduct site visits, data analysis, and continuous improvement activities; support statewide events and trainings. Occasional statewide travel required.

Provide administrative support to Marketing Division programs: answer and route calls, prioritize office tasks, resolve issues, communicate policies and procedures, and support assistant directors.
