Represents the North Carolina Department of Insurance in legal proceedings involving insurance and bail bonds matters. Works with District Attorneys to advance fraud prosecutions, presents investigative evidence, conducts legal research, drafts pleadings and other legal documents, advises internal stakeholders, manages litigation caseloads, and represents the Department in trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.

Performs beginning-level engineering and geomatics work for transportation facility development and property acquisition. Reviews and develops survey and project data, supports transportation design and analysis, coordinates projects with internal teams and private engineering firms, and assists senior engineers on complex projects. Serves as the primary contact for property owners during project development and must be legally authorized to operate a motor vehicle.

Lead NCDOT’s Employee Relations Section, overseeing disciplinary actions, grievances, workplace violence investigations, employee assistance services, and complex HR cases. Advise managers and employees on policy and legal compliance, chair disciplinary review committees, coordinate investigations and referrals, draft agency decisions, develop ER policies, supervise staff, and support crisis and workplace safety initiatives across the agency.

Manages museum applications, databases, IT systems, digital storage, AWS environments, SharePoint sites, and web hosting. Configures, tests, documents, and supports technology solutions; troubleshoots issues with vendors and NCDIT; supports digitization projects, cybersecurity, data sharing, and technical initiatives. Provides user support and training, including guidance on AI tools, while coordinating technology integration across museum units.

Analyzes budgets and expenditures for compliance with state and federal requirements; supports budget preparation, execution, forecasting, fiscal-impact analysis, and legislatively required reporting. The role provides technical guidance to agency and division management, identifies financial risks, recommends solutions, and supports related accounting functions within the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer.

Administers the agency-wide performance management system, coordinating annual cycles, system processes, data maintenance, reporting, troubleshooting, policy implementation, and stakeholder activities. Develops user guides, job aids, training content, and process documentation, and delivers classroom, virtual, and individual training. Provides system support and backup administration for the Learning Management System, researches issues, evaluates feedback and usage, and improves procedures and user support.

Leads implementation of statewide rural healthcare workforce initiatives, coordinating strategy across RHTP hubs and DHHS programs. Supports recruitment, retention, training, workforce pipelines, technical assistance, policy development, program design, implementation, budget management, reporting, and cross-organizational collaboration to strengthen North Carolina’s rural health workforce.

Leads Preschool–Grade 12+ academic programming for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students. Oversees curriculum, instruction, assessment, bilingual-bimodal education, faculty supervision, professional development, scheduling, special education compliance, IEP implementation, admissions placement, family engagement, and school improvement. Serves as the school’s principal and primary instructional leader, advancing rigorous, accessible education and pathways to postsecondary, career, and personal success.
