Conduct confidential background investigations and criminal history searches for employees, partners, vendors, and volunteers in child welfare and child care programs. Collect and verify records, contact courts, prosecutors, and law enforcement, coordinate fingerprint investigations with OSBI and Idemia, capture fingerprints using Livescan, maintain databases, review requests, answer calls, and provide technical support to child care and welfare stakeholders.

Provide paralegal support including legal research (Westlaw), drafting and filing legal documents, case management, responding to Open Records requests, assisting with trial/hearing preparation, attending court, supervising lower-level staff, and performing administrative duties for attorneys.

Manage the Long Term Care Investigations (LTCI) team statewide: supervise staff, review investigations for policy compliance, coordinate with agencies, report monthly metrics, develop policy recommendations, monitor related legislation, and provide training and stakeholder outreach.
