The Senior Fund Accountant oversees fund accounting processes, provides client service, mentors junior staff, and collaborates on financial reporting and audits in private equity.

As a Fund Accounting Director, you will oversee the fund accounting team, ensure timely financial reports, drive process improvements, and mentor staff. You'll also be the main client contact and contribute to strategic planning.

Manage day-to-day credit operations for private credit funds including liquidity and facility management, loan and trade settlements, counterparty onboarding, portfolio monitoring, valuation support, and fund accounting/ investor reporting coordination to ensure data integrity and accurate NAV/quarterly deliverables.

Lead Petra's Strategic Partnership efforts for lift-out and co-sourcing engagements: own client relationships from proposal through execution, manage migrations and retention, coordinate legal and finance deliverables, partner closely with People/HR on talent and onboarding, support sales pipeline and marketing, and coach impacted employees to ensure seamless transitions and long-term client success.

Manage tax function for energy-focused alternative asset manager: oversee partnership tax compliance, review allocations and K-1s, support joint-venture and portfolio company tax activities, coordinate outsourced tax filings, perform taxable income forecasts and tax holdback analysis, maintain tax reporting and dashboards, and respond to investor tax inquiries.

Manage full lifecycle fund accounting for open- and closed-end private equity vehicles: review capital calls/distributions, NAVs, fee and waterfall calculations, quarterly and annual financial statements and audits, regulatory filings, bank/custody reconciliations, cash movements, and investor reporting. Coordinate with investor relations, fund operations, treasury, and compliance, support investor inquiries, and contribute to process improvements and ad hoc projects.

Serve as the operational backbone for portfolio management: build reporting, dashboards, and data infrastructure; monitor portfolio risk and covenants; support quarterly valuations; aggregate and validate borrower/fund data; drive automation and data pipelines; liaise with valuation vendors; and produce recurring and ad hoc analyses for investment stakeholders.

Lead the configuration and optimization of the Allvue platform, manage cross-functional initiatives, support client onboarding, and resolve complex system issues.

Manage day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of Fund of Funds clients, including NAV preparation, capital activity, investment recording, reconciliations, audits, investor reporting, and client communication. Act as a technical resource on private markets accounting, support close processes, mentor associates, and identify process improvements.

The Senior Accountant oversees the accounting operations of the firm's management company, including financial reporting, cash management, and general ledger oversight. Responsibilities also include client communication and support, with a focus on accuracy and collaboration.
