As the Data & Analytics- Vice President, this individual will lead our Client's enterprise data strategy and analytics capabilities. This individual will partner closely with Investment, Investor Relations, Finance, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams to build a modern data ecosystem that supports investment decision-making, operational efficiency, regulatory reporting, and business growth.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen, particularly within the asset management industry. This leader will establish data governance standards, oversee data engineering and business intelligence initiatives, and deliver actionable insights across public and private equity and credit investment strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the firm's enterprise data and analytics strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish a scalable data architecture that supports investment, operational, financial, and client reporting needs.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, analytics professionals, and BI developers.
  • Partner with executive leadership to prioritize data initiatives and technology investments.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise data platforms and pipelines.
  • Integrate data across portfolio management systems, CRM platforms, fund accounting systems, market data providers, and external vendors.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and accessibility across all business functions.
  • Evaluate and implement cloud-based data platforms, data warehouses, and modern analytics technologies.
  • Develop executive dashboards and KPI reporting for investment performance, fundraising, portfolio monitoring, operations, and finance.
  • Partner with investment professionals to enhance portfolio analytics, attribution reporting, risk analytics, and performance measurement.
  • Deliver self-service reporting capabilities using modern BI tools.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and operational processes.
  • Establish enterprise data governance policies, metadata management, and data stewardship processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Define data standards and master data management practices.
  • Monitor data controls and partner with Internal Audit, Compliance, and Risk teams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Lead enterprise data transformation initiatives from planning through execution.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, analytics, business intelligence, or enterprise data management.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams and enterprise data initiatives.
  • Experience within asset management, private equity, credit, hedge funds, investment management, banking, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of investment data, fund structures, portfolio reporting, and financial data management.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Expertise in SQL and modern data warehouse technologies.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipeline development.
  • Experience with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation abilities.

Salary Range

At Petra Funds Group, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring practices. The compensation range for this position is $146,000 – $219,000 per year. This range represents the base salary only. Actual pay will depend on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills.

Skills Required

  • Deep expertise with the Allvue platform
  • 8-15 years in fund administration or at a large GP with significant Allvue utilization
  • Strong understanding of private equity, credit and/or hybrid fund structures
  • Proven track record of translating operational complexity into technical system solutions
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with software vendors and internal tech teams
  • Prior fund accounting experience
