The Human Resources Business Partner advises business leaders on workforce strategy, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, organizational development, engagement, and talent development. The role analyzes workforce metrics, conducts investigations and exit interviews, guides performance programs, supports organizational change, ensures compliance with employment requirements, and partners with leadership, legal, learning and development, and recruiting teams.

Supports distribution center HR operations, including hourly recruiting, candidate pipeline administration, offers, background checks, onboarding, orientation, training compliance, HRIS data integrity, payroll and timekeeping support, reporting, staffing agency administration, and employee engagement activities. Answers routine team member questions, maintains confidential records, and escalates employee relations, leave, accommodation, and other complex matters to the HR Business Partner or appropriate support team.

Manages store and cluster-level inventory allocations by department, class, and SKU to optimize sales, margins, sell-through, and in-stock rates. Collaborates with buying, planning, sourcing, supply chain, accounting, and store operations teams on assortment strategies, replenishment, transfers, receipts, and new-store assortments. Performs in-season and post-season analysis, maintains performance reporting, supports allocation system implementations, and provides data-driven recommendations.

Prepares tax journal entries, account reconciliations, returns, payments, income projections, audit support, and responses to tax notices. Monitors tax law developments, supports compliance and tax strategy, contributes to process improvements and SOX documentation, and assists with the fleet-wide Avalara rollout. The role collaborates with consultants and internal partners while managing multiple tax projects and deadlines.

Oversee outbound logistics across distribution centers, including carrier management, transportation capacity, routing, empty equipment pools, delivery performance, cost optimization, and issue resolution. Develop transportation strategies, metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering with distribution, store operations, and supply chain leaders. Lead and develop direct reports and maintain strong carrier and stakeholder relationships.

Lead design and development for Furniture & Patio category by partnering with Buyers, Brand Concept, Sourcing and Merchants. Create seasonal concept execution (color, silhouette, materials, prints), manage calendars and timelines, direct external design resources, identify product opportunities, influence cross-functional partners, and travel to trade shows and development trips.

Provide in-house legal advice across labor and employment, litigation, commercial contracts, compliance, privacy, and data security. Manage litigation and outside counsel, negotiate and draft contracts, develop policies and toolkits, and advise cross-functional business stakeholders on legal risk and regulatory matters.

Lead architecture and technical strategy for Salesforce Commerce Cloud ecommerce solutions. Design integrations (OMS, CRM, WMS, payments), drive headless/API-first and BFF modernization, enforce SFCC best practices, optimize performance and reliability, ensure PCI/SOX compliance, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product/UX/engineering in an Agile environment to support BOPIS, Ship-from-Store, and delivery capabilities.

Lead front-end development and technical direction for the SFCC ecommerce storefront. Build responsive, accessible, high-performing UI using HTML5/CSS3/JS/React and ISML, support SFCC back-end work, integrations (REST APIs, OMS/CRM/CDP/WMS), mentor developers, run code reviews, and drive modernization (Storefront Next, headless, PWA).

Manage indirect procurement engagements from request through contract execution and implementation. Negotiate commercial terms, coordinate contract drafting and approvals with Legal, Risk, Finance, and InfoSec, onboard suppliers, run competitive sourcing when appropriate, maintain procurement documentation and provide status updates while supporting multiple concurrent initiatives.
