Design, develop, test, and deploy on‑premises web applications using Oracle APEX. Responsibilities include FPGA architecture, RTL coding (SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL), simulation, synthesis, timing closure, prototyping, hardware validation, board bring-up, mentoring junior engineers, project planning, and transitioning products into production.

Lead full systems engineering lifecycle for rugged deployed systems: define low-level requirements, architect hardware/software, lead integration and test, ensure environmental and safety-standard compliance, perform debug/troubleshooting across hardware/firmware/OS, and produce formal requirements documentation for certification in harsh environments.

Design and develop ruggedised VPX-based computer and video systems from concept through production. Maintain product lines, manage obsolescence, oversee environmental and qualification testing (temperature, vibration, EMC), write formal design documentation, support manufacturing, mentor junior engineers, and liaise with software, mechanical, manufacturing and sales teams. Infrequent UK and international travel.
