The engineer also owns golden images, GPU drivers, CUDA, templates, container registries, and multi-region release distribution while collaborating with compute, networking, and control-plane teams.

Build global, multi-region cloud control-plane services for GPU infrastructure, including tenant management, quotas, metering, billing, ticketing, RBAC, customer portals, and APIs. Design cross-region consistency, automate customer onboarding, ensure billing auditability, develop operational recovery tooling, and support region-aware scheduling and placement.

Own end-to-end reliability for a customer-facing GPU cloud serving workloads across 100–10,000 GPUs. Responsibilities include operating Kubernetes GPU clusters, managing multi-tenant isolation, automating bare-metal provisioning, defining SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, handling incidents and customer communications, building observability with Prometheus and Grafana, implementing infrastructure as code and GitOps, and developing automated remediation and self-service operational tooling.

Designs and operates multi-tenant SDN, VPC overlays, and high-performance InfiniBand or RoCE GPU network fabrics. Responsibilities include tenant isolation, cross-region routing, congestion control, network automation, change management, fault localization, architecture standards, security boundaries, and observability for a large-scale multi-region GPU cloud.

Build and operate the CI/CD, MLOps, infrastructure-as-code, and internal developer platform supporting AI products and GPU cloud workloads. Design Kubernetes and Docker infrastructure, high-availability and disaster-recovery systems, observability platforms, security controls, and automated release workflows. Collaborate with engineering, data science, security, and business teams; lead incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and preventative automation.

Designs and leads large-scale AI cloud and data center network architectures, including GPU cluster interconnects, InfiniBand/RoCE, Spine-Leaf networks, underlay and overlay integration, global backbone, DCI, routing, congestion control, and bandwidth planning. Produces HLDs, LLDs, topology diagrams, standards, and SOPs while identifying architectural risks and driving improvement roadmaps across vendors, cloud engineering teams, ISPs, and colocation partners.

Design and implement scalable Kubernetes control plane architectures (Cluster API, Operators, CRDs), optimize etcd, ensure secure multi-tenant API isolation, enable zero-downtime upgrades and multi-cluster federation, integrate with GPU orchestration, lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and drive platform reliability.
