This summer intern will work with DevOps and Cloud teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, automate cloud product delivery, enhance pipeline scripts and tools, test robustness, support deployment capabilities across product teams, and create observability dashboards for pipelines and applications. The internship is a twelve-week, onsite position in Niles, Illinois.

Own the WaveTool software product by defining requirements, prioritizing the backlog, maintaining the roadmap, and coordinating engineering, QA, UX, platform, firmware, and hardware teams. Gather customer insights, conduct competitive analysis, define product metrics, support integrations and go-to-market activities, establish release criteria, and monitor post-launch performance. The role is hybrid in Niles, Illinois, with occasional collaboration across global time zones.

Develop software applications and libraries supporting advanced research initiatives. Collaborate with software engineers and applied research scientists to implement, test, optimize, and demonstrate experimental prototypes involving AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies. The role contributes to smarter, higher-performing audio products and requires object-oriented C++ programming, with opportunities to work across embedded, desktop, mobile, cloud, signal processing, computer vision, and deep learning technologies.

Supports development of Shure’s iOS applications, including audio recording, playback, video capture, hardware integration, and user experience features. Collaborates with marketing, testing, and systems engineering teams to define requirements and use cases. Assists with coding, integration and unit testing, task estimation, planning, organization, and documentation for mobile application software and embedded-system integrations.

Under supervision, the intern assists with researching, developing, programming, and implementing manufacturing process control systems. Responsibilities include supporting automated equipment integration, equipment modifications, data collection, project planning, experiments, and analysis of manufacturing process data. The role also involves learning industrial control systems, machine control requirements, Lean manufacturing, quality, statistics, and electromechanical design.

Summer 2027 hybrid intern supporting Shure’s Customer Experience department across Customer Success, Applications, Channel Support, and Service/Repair. Responsibilities include responding to customer and dealer inquiries, documenting interactions, assisting with pre-sales leads, coordinating support and repair requests, processing dealer orders, tracking escalations, and providing administrative support. The role requires strong communication, organization, problem-solving, customer service, and Microsoft Office skills.

Summer 2027 Android mobile application internship involving coding, debugging, requirements implementation, integration and unit testing, task estimation, organization, and documentation. The intern collaborates with marketing, testing, and systems engineering teams to define mobile application use cases and requirements. Applicants must have at least two years of coursework in computer science or a related field, basic Android or iOS development knowledge, and preferably Android development experience with Kotlin or Java.

Leads the development, validation, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, automation, tooling, and inspection systems. Drives quality, yield, cycle-time, safety, and efficiency improvements using SPC, DOE, capability studies, and continuous improvement methods. Partners with product design teams on manufacturability, collaborates with suppliers on equipment qualification and transfer, leads root-cause investigations and projects, and maintains manufacturing documentation.

Own end-to-end verification and quality for professional wireless microphone systems. Develop and execute functional, RF, audio/DSP, network, reliability, and real-world workflow tests. Diagnose and document defects using technical evidence, validate wireless performance in complex RF environments, and assess audio quality, encryption, connectivity, and scalability. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, RF, audio, product, and support teams to resolve issues and deliver reliable products for live sound, broadcast, theater, touring, and corporate AV applications.

Supports the design, development, documentation, and implementation of tools, fixtures, dies, and gages. Assists with assembly and component drawings, equipment and process modifications, design reviews, project scheduling, and manufacturing efficiency improvements. Works under senior engineers across manufacturing and product development teams while applying CAD, dimensional tolerancing, drafting, and shop-practice knowledge.
