The Director of Group Operational Resilience is responsible for defining and overseeing the group's resilience strategy, ensuring effective implementation and compliance across various business lines and locations, including risk management and crisis management.

Specify transformation and validation logic, review data inputs/outputs, document processes, interpret results for stakeholders, propose simplifications based on materiality, and identify process improvements while collaborating across teams to maintain quality and consistency.

Lead design and delivery of robust, scalable data pipelines and architectures in Azure Databricks to validate and transform policyholder data for actuarial modelling. Ensure data quality, governance, monitoring, and integration of multiple sources. Optimize performance, provide technical leadership to engineers/analysts, and transition the solution to BAU with audit-ready controls in a regulated financial services environment.

Build and maintain scalable data pipelines to validate, transform and govern policyholder data for actuarial modelling. Implement checks, reconcile data loads, resolve exceptions with suppliers and actuarial users, monitor performance, document controls and runbooks, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data quality and audit readiness.

Lead a team of data engineers to design, build and operate data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks. Provide technical guidance, capacity planning, performance tuning, collaborate with offshore development teams across the project lifecycle, and drive Azure Data skill development while ensuring adherence to risk and controls.

Design, build and operationalize Azure-based data solutions and migrate on-premise data warehouses to Azure. Implement ingestion and transformation using ADF and Databricks, optimize pipeline performance, apply relational and dimensional modelling, and collaborate with offshore teams and business stakeholders for requirements, testing and release.

Operate and manage identity controls (PAR, certification reviews, reconciliations, SOD, JML, password compliance). Investigate auditor queries, manage stakeholder expectations, advise on application onboarding and role maintenance, contribute to IDAM security training, report progress and trends, support SailPoint improvements, and train new team members.

Lead and deliver data engineering projects on Azure, designing ingestion and transformation pipelines using ADF and Databricks, migrating on-prem data warehouses to cloud lakehouse/datawarehouse architectures, guiding a team of data engineers, ensuring secure Azure practices, performance tuning, stakeholder management, and operational control improvements.
