Manage a portfolio of retail life insurance claims end-to-end, assess and finalise payments, engage stakeholders, provide empathetic customer service, participate in case discussions, and ensure timely, accurate claim outcomes in line with policy and authority limits.

Lead a 17-person Financial Control team to deliver month-end close, reconciliations, controls and external reporting. Provide expert technical guidance on Income Protection, Life and TPD claims; review and authorise complex decisions; coach consultants; support reporting, governance, quality assurance and stakeholder engagement to ensure claims comply with policy and frameworks.

Provide financial risk and compliance guidance across the business, develop risk appetite and ICAAP support, lead stress testing, embed risk awareness with stakeholders, and deliver strategic risk advice for TAL's financial risk portfolio.

Provide technical expertise and oversight for group life, income protection and TPD claims; review and authorise complex decisions, coach consultants, support managers with reporting and stakeholder engagement, and contribute to governance, quality assurance and capability development.

Provide Line 2 risk and compliance support for the Claims business, managing incidents, regulatory reporting, risk and control reviews, and monitoring. Identify emerging risks and trends, influence remediation of control gaps, deliver risk advice, and build stakeholder relationships to improve outcomes and resilience.

Provide legal advice across the business to manage disputes, regulatory compliance and legal risk; partner with Claims and Underwriting; coach colleagues and deliver commercially focused legal solutions to protect customers and TAL.

Lead delivery of AI and automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, AI Builder and Copilot Studio. Translate business needs into scoped automation opportunities, run discovery sessions, manage a concurrent delivery pipeline, coach and grow a team of analysts, partner with senior stakeholders, and embed AI governance and compliance.
