The Claims Consultant manages Lump Sum claims, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations while providing excellent customer service and supporting process improvements.

As a Claims Technical Specialist, you will provide technical guidance across various claims, coach Claims Consultants, and ensure quality outcomes while adhering to compliance standards.

Provide end-to-end employee relations case management (performance, conduct, grievances, investigations), coach people leaders, support return-to-work plans, assist with organisational change and P&C projects, and design and deliver manager training to ensure consistent, compliant people practices.

Lead a multidisciplinary People & Culture consulting team handling complex employee relations, operational safety, wellbeing and workers' compensation. Partner with leaders to deliver people-first solutions, uplift leader capability, and drive continuous improvement across systems and processes (including ServiceNow) using data and insights to improve service delivery and outcomes.

Manage group life insurance claims (TPD and IP) end-to-end, assess and finalise payments, liaise with treating doctors, rehab consultants and internal medical/legal specialists, provide excellent customer and client communications, participate in case conferences and instruct third-party service providers.

Manage a portfolio of complex Group Life Insurance claims (TPD, Income Protection), assess eligibility using medical and financial evidence, communicate with customers and stakeholders, develop return-to-work plans, lead case conferences, collaborate with internal teams and reinsurers, and mentor junior staff to deliver high-quality claim outcomes.

Provide administrative support for life insurance claims, manage documentation and communications, follow up on medical and financial requirements, handle inbound/outbound calls with stakeholders, assist claim closures and data corrections, and participate in process improvements while learning TAL claims processes and guidelines.

Design and govern cloud-native data platform architecture on Azure and Microsoft Fabric. Define standards and reference patterns for ingestion, transformation, storage, orchestration, observability, metadata, lineage and security. Provide hands-on architectural guidance, partner with stakeholders across Technology, Data, Cyber, Risk and business teams, and enable scalable, reusable data capabilities for analytics and AI use cases.

Maintain and improve Power BI risk and compliance dashboards, deliver timely BAU reporting for executives and the Board, triage data quality issues, coordinate change requests, and support transition of new reporting solutions into stable operations.

Design, build and maintain cloud-based batch and near-real-time data pipelines and transformations using Azure, Microsoft Fabric and Databricks. Embed data quality, lineage, observability, and operational controls. Collaborate with architects, platform and analytics teams to deliver scalable, secure data assets for reporting, analytics and AI use cases.
