Patent Counsel II manages patent prosecution and intellectual property strategy for molecular diagnostics, sequencing, bioinformatics, AI/ML, software, and computational biology technologies. The role drafts and prosecutes domestic and international patent applications, conducts patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses, coordinates outside counsel, advises on trade secrets and publications, supports licensing and litigation matters, and counsels scientific, technical, and business stakeholders on IP risks and opportunities.

Provides phone and email support to customers, physicians, medical staff, and patients regarding products and services. Resolves inquiries, communicates testing updates, securely transmits patient reports, documents interactions, and maintains patient databases. The role also supports sample procurement, supply ordering, test request entry and updates, issue escalation, and complaint management while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and HIPAA-conscious data privacy in a high-volume environment.

Serve as primary liaison for key biotech/healthcare accounts to ensure excellent end-to-end customer experience, resolve operational issues, analyze ordering patterns, implement process improvements, coordinate cross-functional solutions, and travel to support assigned territory (up to 60%).
