About the Job:
The Program Specialist, EMR Implementations is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of new electronic medical record (EMR) integrations and EMR upgrades for Foundation Medicine customers. This role owns planning, execution, and go live readiness for new integrations, partnering closely with customers and internal sales and technical teams to ensure integrations and their associated upgrades are delivered on time, on scope, and aligned with clinical and operational requirements.
This role is implementation focused and transfers customers to Customer Success following successful go live.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end project management for new EMR integrations, from kickoff through go live
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones for assigned implementations
- Coordinate cross functional execution with Sales, Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams
- Manage client communication throughout the implementation lifecycle, including status updates, risk tracking, and issue resolution
- Ensure integration configurations meet customer requirements, technical standards (HL7, compendium management), and regulatory considerations
- Identify project risks and dependencies early and drive mitigation plans
- Facilitate customer enablement and training related to new EMR functionality prior to go live
- Co-lead go live readiness activities and confirm successful transition to postimplementation support
- Partner with Customer Success teams to conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and improvement opportunities
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2–3 years of experience in project management or implementation roles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with major healthcare EMRs (e.g., Epic, Cerner, OncoEMR)
- Experience coordinating technical or health care data data integrations
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills
- Understanding of HIPAA and importance of privacy of patient data

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Remote is $85,360 - $106,700 per year. The salary range is commensurate with Foundation Medicine’s compensation practice and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for Foundation Medicine's benefits.
