Senior Vice President responsible for independently underwriting complex corporate credit exposures across diverse banking products and industries. Duties include financial analysis, transaction and legal-document review, credit risk assessment, committee recommendations, portfolio monitoring, restructurings, and emerging-risk identification. The role collaborates with relationship managers, legal, operations, and product teams while maintaining independent credit judgment and improving underwriting and risk-management practices.

Manages middle-office operations for Global Markets and Investment Banking, including collateral management, broker onboarding, brokerage agreements, trade capture, validation, settlement, and control of FX, fixed-income, and derivatives transactions. Coordinates Front Office, Back Office, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and technology teams; leads new product implementations; monitors KPIs and operational risk; and drives process, control, and automation improvements while managing team development and compliance.

Underwrite, approve, and monitor global Export Credit Agency and Officially Supported Finance transactions. Assess obligor, sovereign, country, and political risks; challenge transaction structures, ECA cover, repayment mechanisms, security packages, and documentation. Exercise delegated credit authority, prepare recommendations, conduct portfolio reviews and stress testing, contribute to risk governance, and present recommendations to credit committees. Partner with origination and structuring teams while maintaining independent credit judgment and sound risk discipline.

Performs independent corporate credit analysis and underwriting across corporate banking products, including lending, trade finance, structured finance, derivatives, acquisition financing, leasing, and equipment finance. Evaluates financial performance, liquidity, leverage, repayment capacity, transaction structures, collateral, covenants, guarantees, and documentation. Prepares credit memoranda and recommendations, monitors annual reviews and covenant compliance, identifies emerging risks, and collaborates with relationship managers, legal, operations, and credit committees.

Supports relationship managers serving institutional clients, especially financial sponsors, through client coverage, business development, financial and credit analysis, market research, pitches, transaction execution, risk approvals, and cross-functional coordination. The role analyzes client relationships and sponsor portfolios, identifies cross-selling opportunities, prepares proposals and committee materials, monitors market activity, and supports global transactions across banking, markets, and transaction banking products.

Manage credit risk assessment and review for Korean corporate clients within Corporate and Investment Banking. Responsibilities include financial analysis, credit ratings, credit proposals, risk-adjusted return evaluation, portfolio monitoring, regulatory and audit reporting, stakeholder coordination, and oversight of risk policies and internal credit tools.

Supports Finance and Accounting by extracting and transforming data, automating financial and regulatory reporting, developing dashboards, and performing analysis for planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking. The role validates data quality, documents processes, supports governance and audits, and partners with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.

Develops cross-asset structured product ideas for institutional clients and distributors across Europe. Responsibilities include pricing derivatives, preparing marketing materials, supporting Sales, coordinating with Trading, Risk, Legal, Strategy, and Operations, leading cross-functional projects, maintaining the product catalogue, supporting valuations, and ensuring regulatory and internal compliance.

Support establishment, maintenance and governance of issuers and structured securities issuance programmes. Manage issuer lifecycle, update programme documentation, coordinate with external advisers and rating/listing/pay agents, secure regulatory approvals, monitor operational readiness and programme capacity, and help develop issuance capabilities across jurisdictions.

Execute strategic operational-efficiency projects across BBVA’s Asian markets, focusing on client onboarding, PFS generation, and Security Agency alignment. Map end-to-end processes, define workflows, identify bottlenecks, coordinate agile working groups, and track initiatives through performance dashboards. The role requires strong strategy or management consulting experience, institutional banking knowledge, analytical ability, and a hands-on execution style.
