Oversee daily freight transportation from suppliers to IKEA stores, resolve operational issues, coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and stores, maintain accurate logistics data, monitor delays, alert stakeholders, improve processes through digital tools and automation, and report delivery performance. The role operates in a global Control Tower environment with rotating day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.

The Data Management Specialist will implement data governance frameworks, standards, policies, controls, metadata, business glossaries, lineage, and catalog capabilities. The role improves data quality, supports data sharing and compliance, promotes data literacy, and partners with subject matter experts, data stewards, product teams, and external partners. Manage and improve data quality, governance, metadata, lineage, glossaries, catalogs, and data-sharing practices across assigned domains. Partner with subject matter experts, product teams, and data stewards to establish standards, resolve quality issues, support regulatory compliance, and embed data management into daily workflows. Promote data literacy through coaching and stakeholder engagement while assessing technology impacts on data.

Manage and improve IKEA’s Data Enablement Platform, focusing on metadata, data catalogues, data quality, lineage, governance workflows, and data contracts. Configure platforms such as Databricks and Collibra, define standards and validation rules, support adoption through training and guidance, gather user feedback, and contribute to product roadmaps, backlogs, OKRs, and data management best practices.

Lead identification and delivery of new business and sourcing opportunities—develop market analyses and business cases, manage portfolios of sourcing and deployment projects, engage and onboard new suppliers and partners, ensure compliance with IKEA purchasing processes, and drive cross-functional teams to implement product, material and business-model innovations.

Design, build and maintain scalable backend services in Go and modern frontends with TypeScript/Next.js/React. Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions; work with SQL/NoSQL databases, authentication standards, observability tools, and Agile product teams. Collaborate with in-house and offshore teams and engage with the PLM ecosystem (Optiva).

Supervise and improve production technological processes, develop/update product and process documentation and technical drawings, manage material specifications, implement product changes, test and evaluate production materials, update product structures in Movex, ensure compliance with IKEA specifications, drive lean continuous improvements, and coordinate cross-functional production and safety communication.

As an intern, your role involves coordinating with global colleagues, conducting market analysis on products, and supporting ad-hoc assignments.

Lead the Home Furnishing Accessories (HFA) business end-to-end: set goals from IKEA direction, drive sales and profitability, connect customer and market insights to range development, align stakeholders across Range, Supply and Retail, and develop people and capabilities.

Design, build, and operate scalable data models and ETL/ELT pipelines (batch and real-time) on cloud platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate supply chain requirements into governed, performant data products, enforce engineering best practices, optimize cost and performance, mentor peers, and drive reusable frameworks and metadata management.
