Own end-to-end UI/UX design for Cala’s web, mobile, and connected-device experiences. Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity interfaces, dashboards, design systems, documentation, and engineering handoffs. Conduct user research and usability testing, lead design reviews, ensure accessibility, and support regulated medical-device development. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and QA while scaling Cala’s visual and interaction language across platforms.

Owns firmware for clinical studies, including development, testing, documentation, release management, logging, and field support. Builds rapid prototypes for sensing, stimulation, and algorithm concepts; performs hardware and firmware debugging; supports clinical teams; and transfers research technology to commercial development. The role also requires AI-assisted development, collaboration across engineering and clinical teams, and adaptability in a small R&D environment.

Own inventory accounting, COGS, standard costing, margin analysis, month-end close, reserves, accruals, inventory controls, audit compliance, and manufacturing variance analysis. Partner with Operations, Engineering, and R&D on cost reduction and new product introduction modeling. Serve as the inventory ERP subject matter expert, improving workflows, data accuracy, and financial controls across warehouses and contract manufacturers.
