Owns database engineering patterns for federal programs, including schema standards, replication, query performance, backups, disaster recovery, security, and zero-downtime migrations. The role operates shared AWS database infrastructure, supports program teams, handles escalations and on-call responsibilities, and advises customers on data residency, retention, encryption, and access. Candidates need deep production database experience, analytics-store expertise, AWS RDS/Aurora experience, FedRAMP exposure, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Owns database engineering patterns for federal programs, including schema standards, replication, query performance, backup and disaster recovery, security, zero-downtime migrations, and shared infrastructure. Supports production data planes, handles escalations, conducts recovery drills, and partners with platform and data engineering teams.
