The role also performs propulsion trade studies, manages technical risks, and supports vendor hardware and test facilities.

Supports procurement for lunar systems by sourcing aerospace components, equipment, and services; negotiating supplier terms, pricing, and schedules; selecting suppliers; interpreting engineering documentation; identifying alternate parts; managing supply chain risks; and overseeing supplier qualification, performance, quality, and relationships. The role is hybrid in Pittsburgh and requires up to 10% travel.

Develops deep learning and machine learning models for computer vision, synthetic aperture radar, and geospatial exploitation applications. Responsibilities include designing neural network architectures, training models for object detection and classification, preprocessing SAR data, creating physics simulations, addressing simulated-to-real-world bias, evaluating model performance, presenting findings, and delivering production-quality Python code. The role supports mission-critical defense and national security customers.

Lead site AS9100D/ISO 9001 quality and mission assurance for multiple flight programs. Manage audits, MRB, NCR/CAR/SCAR workflows, supplier quality, EIDP approvals, and enforce space-grade workmanship.
