Performs mechanical and instrumentation engineering design, development, analysis, testing, installation, integration, sustainment, and maintenance for aircraft and weapons-system test environments. Provides Tier 2 helpdesk and systems administration support at Nellis AFB. Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining Windows workstations, imaging PCs, troubleshooting hardware and network connectivity, managing Active Directory objects, installing end-user hardware, and coordinating system upgrades and policy changes. Requires five years of related experience, technical training, U.S. citizenship, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Provides senior-level CAD and CAE support for complex electromechanical, mechanical, electrical, infrastructure, and facility design projects. Creates and maintains technical drawings, floor plans, equipment layouts, system diagrams, bills of material, and as-built documentation. Performs FEA, motion analysis, simulations, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and design reviews. Coordinates major projects, ensures drawing and configuration accuracy, and mentors lower-level designers and drafting staff.

Modify, install, test, evaluate, repair, and document airborne test instrumentation and data acquisition systems. Analyze sensor data, troubleshoot hardware and software, develop technical specifications and documentation, conduct investigations, prepare technical proposals, and support customer design reviews and test activities. The role also leads complex sustainment and maintenance assignments, coordinates with engineering and program teams, and may require travel to remote test locations.
