Leads technical engagements with North American enterprise customers adopting quantum computing solutions. Presents products and roadmaps, identifies optimization use cases, supports deployments, provides advisory and technical support, and builds long-term client relationships. Collaborates with sales, product, professional services, marketing, and development teams to communicate customer needs, identify service opportunities, and drive measurable ROI. The role requires 30%–50% travel for conferences, client meetings, training, and sales events.

Design and build core platform infrastructure, backend services, tooling, and user-facing features supporting quantum simulators and quantum processors. Lead architecture and implementation of scalable, resilient systems; troubleshoot performance issues; contribute across the software lifecycle; participate in code and design reviews; and mentor junior engineers. Collaborate with product managers, scientists, and applications engineers to deliver reliable production solutions.

Develop, simulate, test, and deploy high-impact quantum applications and algorithms for chemistry, materials science, machine learning, finance, cryptography, and other domains. Collaborate with research, software, firmware, hardware, and quantum engineering teams to optimize algorithms for hardware constraints, support simulation capabilities, execute applications on quantum hardware, and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.

Own integration and deployment of production dual-rail quantum processors. Drive project management and cross-team technical problem solving across electrical, cryogenic, RF, and system engineering. Design and run validation/test programs, plan long-term integration strategies, and improve system resilience for production quantum systems.

Leads the Systems Engineering organization for D-Wave’s gate-model quantum computing platform. Defines strategy, architecture, requirements, interfaces, integration, verification, validation, and technical governance across quantum hardware, software, cryogenic, control, and cloud systems. Partners with product, research, hardware, software, manufacturing, and executive teams to deliver scalable commercial systems. Builds and mentors multidisciplinary engineering leadership and resolves system-level trade-offs involving performance, schedule, risk, manufacturability, and product objectives.

Develops and executes microwave, electrical, and cryogenic measurements for superconducting quantum device characterization and validation. Maintains and optimizes cryogenic and measurement systems, performs device-performance data analysis, and builds experiment automation and analysis pipelines. Troubleshoots procedures and tools, documents methods and results, and collaborates with physics and engineering teams to provide feedback for device-development cycles.

Drive integration of D-Wave's QPU fabrication processes from R&D to low-to-medium-volume production. Design and execute experiments, operate and qualify lithography, deposition and etch tools, implement SPC and in situ metrology, troubleshoot equipment, mentor junior engineers, and support design and facility build-out.

As a Staff Network Engineer at D-Wave, you'll design, implement, and maintain networking infrastructure, manage AWS environments, and ensure network security, while mentoring junior team members.

Develop and maintain compiler software for quantum programming, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor on software best practices.
