Own Ursa Major’s long-term corporate strategy across aerospace, defense, propulsion, and national security markets. Lead market intelligence, strategic growth, capital allocation, M&A, partnerships, and investment evaluations. Translate Department of Defense priorities and industrial base needs into company strategy, advise executives and the Board, and coordinate cross-functional execution across finance, engineering, manufacturing, operations, and government relations.

Lead corporate strategy across aerospace and defense markets, including market intelligence, strategic growth, acquisitions, partnerships, investments, financial modeling, and executive decision support. The role translates DoD priorities, customer demand, competitive dynamics, supply-chain constraints, and technology trends into actionable recommendations. It coordinates with government relations, business development, finance, engineering, operations, and manufacturing to execute strategic initiatives and expand the company’s national security market position.

Owns costed bills of materials, material baselines, pricing, lead-time tracking, supplier readiness, and part availability across aerospace and defense programs. Builds dashboards and cost models, leads shortage reviews, maintains ERP/MRP data, supports proposals and EAC/BOE development, coordinates engineering changes and make-versus-buy decisions, expedites critical materials, and ensures Government and Customer Furnished Property compliance under FAR/DFARS.

Leads concurrent capital and infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning and occupancy. Manages budgets, schedules, risks, consultants, contractors, permitting, construction, commissioning, and stakeholder coordination across active manufacturing, laboratory, test, and campus environments. Serves as owner’s representative, ensuring projects meet scope, cost, schedule, safety, regulatory, and operational objectives while minimizing production disruptions.

Own and maintain integrated master schedules using Microsoft Project and Planner Premium. Build baselines, manage dependencies and critical paths, track progress, analyze schedule risks and variances, and produce executive dashboards and performance metrics. Coordinate with program managers and cross-functional teams, conduct schedule risk and scenario analyses, and enforce change-control processes for program baselines.

Supports solid rocket motor energetics research through experimental hardware construction, instrumentation setup, data acquisition, testing, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical reporting. Collaborates with development, manufacturing, quality, and management teams to transfer laboratory processes into production. Handles hazardous and explosive materials while following strict safety, quality, and documentation procedures.

Lead enterprise-wide Learning & Development strategy, leadership and manager development, career frameworks, talent reviews, succession planning, mentorship, learning curriculum, and organizational change initiatives. Partner with executives to address capability gaps, measure program impact, implement learning technologies, and build a high-performing L&D team.

Manage indirect procurement and capital equipment purchasing from requisition through delivery and acceptance. Responsibilities include sourcing, issuing RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, evaluating suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, creating purchase orders, monitoring supplier performance, resolving delivery and pricing issues, maintaining procurement records, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. The role partners with Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, Finance, Digital Operations, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Leads sourcing and procurement for capital equipment, facilities purchases, services, software, and other indirect materials. Manages RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, purchase orders, delivery and installation coordination, supplier performance, issue resolution, documentation, and cost-saving initiatives while partnering with engineering, manufacturing, facilities, finance, and operations.

Designs and supports aerospace electromechanical hardware, including electrical harnesses, enclosures, brackets, and test equipment components. Responsibilities include 3D modeling, engineering drawings, BOMs, design analysis, harness routing, manufacturing support, troubleshooting, environmental testing, configuration management, and technical documentation. The engineer collaborates with electrical, mechanical, avionics, propulsion, manufacturing, and test teams while supporting rocket engine and defense systems development.
