Peraton seeks experienced federal IT professionals for DEA/DOJ modernization proposal roles. Responsibilities include managing complex IT programs, workstreams, contractor teams, transitions, Agile roadmaps, schedules, risks, reporting, government-facing meetings, and executive communications. Key positions include program leadership, technical leadership, service desk support, information systems security, field operations, and Agile consulting. Candidates must have federal law enforcement IT experience and be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance and DEA suitability determination.

Manages enterprise information assurance and cybersecurity support for DHS/TSA, including incident response, vulnerability management, risk and compliance services, RMF-based assessment and authorization, security audits, POA&M remediation, and security architecture. Coordinates cybersecurity teams, stakeholders, system owners, and government offices while monitoring performance, identifying risks, and recommending mitigation strategies.

Supports systems engineering across requirements analysis, architecture, solutions engineering, integration, testing, performance engineering, risk management, and technical planning. Assists with translating mission needs into system requirements, evaluating technical approaches, conducting trade studies, reviewing cloud capabilities, and coordinating system components. The role supports GEOINT systems for government and allied agencies and is fully onsite in Springfield, Virginia.

Support STPSat-6 spacecraft and ground-system operations through health monitoring, payload commanding, procedure development, anomaly investigation, recovery planning, testing, validation, automation, and risk mitigation. The role also supports ground equipment maintenance, mission activities, peer training, and coordination with mission partners. Occasional night or weekend work may be required during critical operations or anomaly recovery.

Leads the design, deployment, optimization, and maintenance of secure enterprise network infrastructure across globally distributed environments. Implements network access control, endpoint compliance, Comply to Connect, micro-segmentation, Cisco Secure Workload, and Zero Trust protections. Troubleshoots complex Layer 2/3 and application-layer issues, maintains documentation, evaluates network technologies and security updates, and collaborates with cybersecurity and systems engineering teams to support compliant Department of War networks.

Designs, builds, deploys, and maintains scalable cloud and classified network systems for DoD and Intelligence Community customers. Configures firewalls, switches, routers, WANs, LANs, and security controls; troubleshoots network anomalies; supports COMSEC equipment; develops automation and Ansible solutions; creates network architectures and operational documentation; monitors services, manages incidents, and evaluates networking solutions.

Own end-to-end reliability for an enterprise application by defining SLOs, building observability and alerting, shipping resilient Python and Rust code, operating EKS and AWS infrastructure, maintaining CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code, leading incident response, and driving security, compliance, load testing, capacity planning, and chaos engineering. Mentor engineers and support progressive delivery in regulated national-security environments.

Leads the systems engineering lifecycle for integrating, deploying, testing, and training stakeholders on third-party software and sensor systems. Develops requirements, system designs, technical documentation, project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinates cross-functional teams and contractors, monitors progress, mitigates risks, ensures contractual compliance, and aligns milestones with stakeholder dependencies.

Supports enterprise cybersecurity by assessing systems, identifying vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, coordinating remediation, and validating corrective actions. Uses SIEM, SOAR, endpoint detection, cloud security, and zero-trust tools across on-premises and cloud environments. Develops and tests security tools, reduces false positives, communicates recommendations to system owners, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires U.S. citizenship, an active Secret clearance, and eligibility for Top Secret clearance.

Leads systems engineering throughout the system lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, design, integration, implementation planning, and technical documentation. Translates operational needs into actionable system requirements, develops FRDs and engineering plans, evaluates technical approaches, integrates emerging capabilities, and resolves technical issues. Coordinates with users, government stakeholders, engineering teams, program personnel, and senior leadership while ensuring the quality and integrity of engineering deliverables.
