Leads Liberty Mutual’s global Finance Technology strategy, transformation portfolio, and organization of approximately 220 employees and 300 contractors. Oversees modernization across accounting, treasury, tax, reinsurance, risk, actuarial, data, architecture, security, and enterprise platforms. Partners with CFO leadership, manages approximately $200 million in annual technology investment, drives measurable delivery outcomes, develops enterprise data and AI capabilities, governs vendors, and builds a high-performing technology organization through sustained transformation.

Represent Liberty Mutual and its policyholders in moderately complex civil litigation and workers’ compensation matters. Manage cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, hearings, trials, mediations, pleadings, and motions. Advise claims representatives and insured clients, evaluate risks, negotiate resolutions, maintain accurate documentation, use e-discovery and case management systems, communicate case updates, and uphold legal ethics and licensing requirements.

Investigates and processes commercial insurance claims within assigned authority limits. Responsibilities include determining coverage, assessing damages and losses, setting reserves, negotiating settlements, preparing or reviewing property and auto damage estimates, documenting claim files, communicating with insured parties and agents, and identifying fraud or subrogation opportunities. The role requires strong customer service, organization, communication, technology, and claims-handling abilities, with potential licensing requirements across multiple states.

Own and improve the Subcontractor Default Insurance pricing model, perform complex actuarial analyses, support pricing and financial planning, and provide insights for annual reinsurance renewals. Advise underwriting leadership, contribute to broader Global Surety initiatives, collaborate across analytical teams, and influence stakeholders through mentoring and cross-functional leadership.

Independently manages moderately complex civil litigation matters involving personal injury and property damage claims. Responsibilities include legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, discovery, hearings, trials, mediations, settlement negotiations, client advising, risk mitigation, compliance, use of legal technology, mentoring junior attorneys, training staff, and improving legal workflows.

Supports Liberty Mutual’s underwriting organization through process improvement, business analysis, reporting, training, authority management, and strategic initiatives. Researches business challenges, analyzes processes, gathers stakeholder feedback, evaluates solutions, and helps drive projects from concept through implementation. Gains exposure to commercial insurance operations, data analytics, and artificial intelligence while partnering with underwriting leaders and business stakeholders.

Leads a team underwriting complex major-account property portfolios with insured values of at least $100 million. Reviews and approves underwriting decisions, evaluates exposures, hazards, financials, coverage, loss history, pricing, and program structures, and partners with Risk Engineering to improve profitability. Builds broker and customer relationships, drives underwriting strategy and portfolio growth, manages escalations, develops talent, promotes continuous improvement, and may continue underwriting select policies.

Lead a team of 8–10 experience designers and researchers while setting UX strategy for global employee digital services, cybersecurity, and mobile applications. Build the research practice, champion human-centered and accessible design, strengthen design systems and workflows, guide AI experimentation, collaborate across product and technology teams, deliver UX artifacts, and mentor talent. The role requires strategic leadership, hands-on UX expertise, cross-functional influence, and experience managing multidisciplinary design teams.

Leads strategic relationships with approximately 20 global private equity clients and broker partners across the Midwest, South Central, and West. Drives submissions, new business, cross-selling, marketing initiatives, and growth across Liberty Mutual’s product lines. Acts as the primary client escalation point, coordinates cross-enterprise collaboration, communicates underwriting appetite, develops new relationships, and influences senior stakeholders. The role requires extensive insurance industry, underwriting, business development, leadership, and relationship-management experience.

Develop and maintain commercial insurance underwriting risk models, parameterizations, statistical processes, and output exhibits. Validate model performance, analyze large datasets and insurance risk dynamics, document methodologies, and deliver practical solutions. Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial stakeholders to improve risk analytics tools and communicate technical results. The role focuses on non-catastrophe underwriting risk, stochastic financial modeling, forecasting, and regulatory risk frameworks.
