The Controls and OT Engineer will develop automation solutions, lead teams, program control systems, and ensure client satisfaction through innovative design and implementation.

Lead execution of controls engineering projects ($20K–$5M) including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontract management, quality, client communication, risk mitigation, staffing, and profitability. Develop project plans, engineering schedules (MS Project), technical documentation, change orders, and mentor engineering teams while identifying sales opportunities.

The Controls Engineer designs and implements control systems, oversees project execution, and supports system check-out on-site while guiding junior engineers.

Lead mechanical design and 3D modeling for complex industrial projects, produce 2D drawings, P&IDs, piping isometrics, and construction documents; coordinate multidisciplinary teams, perform field visits, select mechanical components, manage vendor/specifications, estimate hours, and iterate designs through fabrication and installation to ensure code-compliant, manufacturable solutions.

Lead a CAD department (up to 10 designers) using AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault. Support electrical schematics, P&IDs, and panel layouts; enforce CAD standards; train users; implement productivity enhancements and automated quality checks; coordinate CAD resources and transfer CAD data to production CNC equipment.

Support mechanical engineering team by creating 2D drawings and 3D models for industrial projects, coordinate multidisciplinary designs, develop P&IDs and piping isometrics, perform field visits and component selection, assist procurement and costing, and iterate designs through manufacturing and client feedback under senior staff guidance.

Lead design and delivery of industrial automation systems including control system architecture, control panel and hazardous-location panel design, PLC/HMI/SCADA/DCS integration, industrial networking, project leadership, team mentorship, and ensuring project profitability and customer relationships.

Lead design, specification, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems. Manage engineering teams, develop scopes and cost estimates, produce schematics and panel layouts, ensure code compliance (including hazardous area), perform factory tests, support installation, commissioning, and customer training across multiple industries.

Manage financial aspects of projects from proposal to closeout: set up and maintain project accounts, prepare and submit client invoices, track costs and revenue recognition, handle project purchase orders, accounts receivable and collections, conduct project reviews, and ensure compliance with sales tax and billing requirements.

Lead controls integration projects: develop PLC ladder logic, HMI/SCADA applications, perform instrumentation check-out, support start-up, produce system documentation, guide junior staff, and work in semiconductor cleanroom environments.
