Leads Intuitive Surgical’s global internal audit function, reporting to the Audit Committee and SVP of Finance. Oversees risk-based financial, operational, SOX 404, IT/cybersecurity, regulatory, and compliance audits; fraud assessments; M&A due diligence; quality programs; co-sourced providers; and remediation tracking. Advises executives and the Board, manages external auditor coordination, develops audit talent and budgets, and advances analytics, automation, continuous monitoring, and AI-enabled auditing.

Design physical and digital interfaces for da Vinci robotic surgery systems. Define interactions for intelligent and semi-autonomous systems, communicate system state and intent, prototype and iterate solutions, document UI specifications, and address safety and usability risks. Collaborate with designers, Human Factors specialists, engineers, product managers, and clinical experts throughout the product lifecycle.

Lead development of real-time machine learning and computer vision algorithms for ultrasound imaging in Intuitive’s robotic-assisted biopsy system. Responsibilities include detection, segmentation, classification, temporal tracking, artifact mitigation, image fusion, model optimization, and deployment into high-performance C++ medical-device software. The role also supports system integration, testing, formal design documentation, and patent applications while collaborating with clinical and engineering teams under Good Machine Learning Practice principles.

Lead development and support of Intuitive’s da Vinci surgical-system emulator and hardware-in-the-loop environments. Expand emulator capabilities by modeling microcontrollers, sensors, FPGAs, and physics; investigate evolving system software and firmware; promote simulation-first development; and collaborate with engineers to deliver feature requests, fixes, and integrations. The role requires debugging complex systems, balancing new development with support, and guiding emulation-team practices.
