Leads engineers executing automation and robotics projects across battery recycling centers. Responsibilities include designing and deploying automated systems, standardizing equipment and processes, managing vendors, budgets, risks, resources, compliance, and project timelines. The role drives technology advancement, continuous improvement, sustainability, cross-functional collaboration, engineer mentoring, documentation, and post-implementation support across regional and global manufacturing sites.

Lead and deliver onboarding, EHS, bid transfer, and job certification training in a manufacturing plant. Develop, maintain, and track training materials and schedules, instruct classroom and on-the-job training, monitor completion, update work instructions, and integrate safety, quality, TPM, and Lean principles into training programs. Support trainer development and may assist with orientation, recruiting, and community outreach.

Plan and control branch plant production, warehousing, and inventory. Develop procedures, analyze forecasts vs. performance, schedule production/purchases, supervise shipping/warehousing/inventory teams, maintain control systems, and ensure regulatory safety compliance.

The Manufacturing & Process Engineer develops process specifications, updates work instructions and flow charts, and provides technical support for manufacturing operations.

Lead manufacturing process and controls improvements through PLC/HMI/robotics programming, root-cause analysis, SCADA support, and cross-functional continuous improvement projects to increase uptime, reduce variation, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Designs, develops, validates, and deploys computer vision and AI solutions for automated inspection, defect detection, process monitoring, and predictive maintenance in manufacturing plants. Integrates cameras, sensors, lighting, edge devices, and manufacturing equipment; leads proof-of-concept development, global deployments, vendor partnerships, documentation, and standardization. Engages plant and business stakeholders across regions to define priorities, develop roadmaps, and scale solutions.

Design and develop functionally safe electronic circuits for lithium-ion battery management systems. Perform ISO 26262 safety analyses, including FMEA, fault-tree, FMEDA, ASIL decomposition, and common-cause analysis. Define hardware safety requirements, specifications, verification plans, and validation work products. Support design reviews, technical reporting, and cross-functional development from safety concept through production while collaborating with software, systems, mechanical, test, and manufacturing teams.

Manages end-to-end supply chain activities for a manufacturing plant, including production planning, forecasting, inventory control, warehousing, shipping, purchasing coordination, vendor management, capacity planning, and production control systems. Supervises teams, monitors performance against plans, maintains inventory accuracy, addresses supply and quality issues, establishes KPIs, and ensures compliance with safety and company policies.

Support continuous improvement of plant processes and equipment through PLC/program changes, mechanical/electrical documentation, Six Sigma techniques, uptime and maintenance cost reduction. Lead problem-solving teams, provide technical support for maintenance and capital projects, ensure process capability and quality, implement improvements, and reduce recurring downtime.
