The Mid-Level Software Engineer will analyze requirements, debug software, design and implement solutions, supervise teams, and enhance software processes. Candidates must have relevant experience and TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Provide Tier 1/2 operations and support for servers, storage, network, and infrastructure; administer Windows and UNIX/Linux systems; perform patching, hardening, performance tuning, and compliance work; support cloud, automation, DevOps, and IaC efforts; assist deployments across on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud environments; collaborate with engineering and ISSOs; develop documentation and SOPs.

Build data transforms and analyst tools for text/JSON/DB/XML; gather requirements from operators; improve application performance; manage mission-critical servers; work with Python, dataframes, SQL, Git/GitLab, and modern frontend frameworks to support CNO/CNE mission needs.

Develop and reverse-engineer security tools to support national security customers. Build and improve dataflow pipelines, monitoring tools, and dashboards; collect metrics from apps, hardware, and network appliances; deploy containerized solutions; collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and engineers and communicate progress to customers.

Design, develop, prototype, and integrate CNO-focused software and toolsets. Derive and document requirements, augment and support fielded systems, reverse-engineer binaries (Ghidra), and collaborate with analysts, operators, and data scientists to deliver mission-centric solutions.

Design, develop, and support enterprise SQL-based applications that integrate budgeting and financial data. Work with customers, systems engineers, and cross-functional teams through the full SDLC to deliver, deploy, and sustain reliable production systems, improve reliability and performance, and maintain technical documentation in an Agile/JIRA environment.

Support DevOps modernization for NSA authoring and dissemination tools: deploy and maintain applications, configure complex software, manage servers and tooling, monitor performance, and troubleshoot outages. Participate in rotating 24/7 on-call pager schedule.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated UI and API tests (Cypress). Execute test suites, analyze results, document defects, and integrate automated testing into CI/CD (GitLab). Collaborate with Agile cross-functional teams to validate features and ensure quality of the Report Authoring and Dissemination system.

Support and sustain high-performance operational IT environments: install, configure, relocate, and maintain NVIDIA GPU accelerator platforms; document procedures; collaborate with onsite sysadmins and engineering teams; troubleshoot hardware/software; support virtualization and IT modernization; and prepare for future AWS, cloud, and LLM infrastructure support.

Develop, maintain, and test complex software systems and algorithms for an intel team. Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to derive requirements, support UI/backend work, transition capabilities to cloud, ensure operational specifications, perform quality control, lead or oversee development teams, and improve development processes and documentation.
