Lead life insurance experience studies and assumption-setting activities from data analysis through recommendations. Build and maintain actuarial, projection, and valuation models; conduct statistical, financial, pricing, risk, reserve, and reinsurance analyses; and present findings to technical and executive audiences. Partner with actuarial, finance, product, and technology teams while improving data processes, controls, reporting, automation, and responsible AI-enabled actuarial workflows.

Provides executive legal leadership for Nationwide’s property and casualty contingent-liability litigation portfolio, including bad-faith claims, coverage disputes, reserves, settlements, regulatory exposure, and outside counsel management. Advises senior leaders across Legal, Claims, Finance, Underwriting, Reinsurance, and Compliance; establishes litigation governance and risk-mitigation strategies; oversees financial reporting and legal spend; and leads, coaches, and develops attorneys handling complex litigation matters.

Underwrite complex Commercial E&S/Specialty accounts, manage portfolio profitability, implement rate and product strategies, analyze data/trends, collaborate with agents, product and technology partners, place reinsurance per guidelines, support product development, and mentor underwriting staff.

Leads Internal Audit quality assurance, methodology, governance, technology strategy, continuous improvement, and risk-focused initiatives. Oversees AuditBoard and vendor relationships, develops training and recruitment programs, prepares Board and Audit Committee materials, supports resource planning, and automates audit operations using analytics, RPA, workflows, and visualization. Partners with enterprise risk, compliance, controllership, technology, and senior leadership while managing and developing a team of audit professionals.

Represents insurance clients as lead counsel in property and casualty defense or subrogation litigation. Manages moderate-volume civil caseloads, conducts trials and examinations under oath, evaluates claims, develops litigation strategies, negotiates, provides case valuations, and communicates with clients, claims teams, courts, and colleagues. Requires independent case management, strong legal research and analytical skills, collaboration, adaptability to legal technology, and compliance with jurisdictional and corporate policies.

Build, validate, and maintain predictive pricing and risk models for commercial insurance. Collaborate with actuarial and business partners to translate data into pricing and underwriting insights, document models, test outputs, and apply statistical and machine learning techniques to support pricing decisions.

Leads complex accounting, reconciliation assurance, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance activities. Resolves high-risk and aged balance sheet exceptions through research, analytics, collaboration, and reporting. Prepares sophisticated financial statements, transactions, regulatory filings, audit materials, and management presentations. Supports accounting policy development, process improvements, quality assurance testing, and Power BI reporting. Requires strong knowledge of GAAP or STAT, analytical problem-solving, communication, and four to six years of related accounting experience.

Leads a multi-year transformation of property and casualty insurance rate filing processes across multiple business lines. Oversees actuarial filing and reporting teams, establishes governance and peer-review standards, partners with legal, regulatory, technology, and business stakeholders, and advances automation and analytical capabilities. Performs complex actuarial analysis, communicates recommendations to senior leaders and regulators, develops talent, and provides strategic guidance on product profitability and data-driven decision-making.

Provides personalized investment guidance, retirement planning support, rollover and managed-account assistance, and end-to-end account servicing. Conducts needs assessments, recommends investment and annuity products, executes trades and money movement, supports onboarding, and manages complex client cases. Drives asset retention, new money growth, and outside-asset consolidation while maintaining compliance with Reg BI and suitability standards. Collaborates with operations, service, suitability, compliance, and retirement teams to resolve issues and deliver strong client experiences.

Supports unclaimed property and escheat accounting operations, including state reporting, remittances, due diligence letters, recoveries, reconciliations, exceptions, controls, and inquiries. Prepares complex financial and regulatory statements, reports, audit documentation, and financial transactions. Interprets GAAP, STAT, tax, and regulatory requirements; recommends process improvements; supports systems development; resolves complex accounting issues; and provides guidance and cross-training to accounting staff.
