Lead architecture for eBay’s agentic customer experience platforms. Define reusable patterns spanning AI models, orchestration, retrieval, tools, workflows, policy, evaluation, and human support. Architect integrations with enterprise knowledge, APIs, transactional systems, and case management while optimizing reliability, security, scalability, latency, observability, and cost. Evaluate emerging AI technologies, validate decisions through prototypes and technical reviews, and influence architecture across multiple engineering teams.

Guide technical decisions, improve reliability and observability, mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and partner with global teams to integrate AI into developer workflows. The role requires deep platform engineering experience, strong distributed systems expertise, and hands-on technical leadership.

Leads Design business operations and strategy as Chief of Staff to the VP of Design. Oversees planning, budgeting, staffing, procurement, resource allocation, operating rhythms, executive communications, organizational programming, and cross-functional initiatives. Partners with Finance, People, Recruiting, Product, Engineering, and other teams to drive alignment and execution. Design distributed systems with Java or Kotlin, operate cloud-native development environments, create Python automation, improve software delivery workflows, and collaborate with engineers to develop self-service platform experiences and applied AI capabilities.

Sources and evaluates high-end collectibles, develops relationships with collectors and sellers, identifies buyers, and closes private sales. Provides expert guidance on authenticity, consignment, and pricing while delivering white-glove service throughout the transaction. Executes inbound and outbound sales initiatives, meets quota goals, collaborates on site placement, and manages communications and multiple sales activities using Salesforce, Excel, email, and other digital tools.

Design and build hyperscale observability infrastructure for metrics, logs, and traces. Develop fault-tolerant, high-throughput distributed services; operate Kubernetes-based production systems; improve self-healing, autoscaling, reliability, and incident response; and collaborate with SREs and platform teams. The role includes architecture reviews, production readiness work, post-incident improvements, open-source contributions, and participation in an on-call rotation.

Leads cross-functional platform governance initiatives from strategy through execution, coordinating policy, product, operations, engineering, legal, and customer-facing teams. Establishes plans, governance forums, decision frameworks, milestones, risk tracking, and success measures. Improves item policy oversight, automated and human control performance, enforcement experiences, operating rhythms, and scalable execution mechanisms. Translates performance data, quality reviews, incidents, and operational feedback into structured requirements, action plans, and roadmap recommendations.

Supports legal department operations by managing vendors and law firms, coordinating onboarding, reviewing invoices, analyzing billing data, preparing reports and dashboards, improving workflows with AI, maintaining intranet and collaboration sites, and managing legal team projects.
