Leads complex, high-priority projects and programs from planning through delivery. Develop privacy, security, risk management, data management, controls, validations, documentation, metrics, and process-flow diagrams. Partner with Product, Technology, and business stakeholders to identify risks, resolve breakdowns, streamline operations, and drive improvements aligned with customer outcomes. Lead software engineering projects and developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems for credit decisioning. Collaborate with product and business partners to deliver cloud-based features, address regulatory needs, mentor engineers, evaluate emerging technologies, and support technology transformation. The role involves JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and major cloud platforms.

Lead enterprise third-party risk management governance, oversight programs, policy and framework improvements, remediation efforts, taxonomies, audits, regulatory examinations, mandate compliance, and international TPRM requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert and partner with business, risk, audit, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure effective and resilient third-party risk practices.

Lead the design, development, deployment, and support of scalable AI platform components, including foundation model training, LLM inference, similarity search, guardrails, evaluation, governance, experimentation, and observability. Optimize AI training and inference for latency, throughput, cost, and hardware utilization. Build and maintain relationships with 60–80 auto dealerships while supporting outside sales managers and driving Capital One Auto Finance business. Serve as the first contact for underwriting and funding issues, make outbound and inbound dealer calls, analyze territory production, develop strategic plans, monitor performance, and adjust plans to meet goals. The role requires strong communication, customer service, partnership, and business-to-business sales skills, with weekend availability and initial five-day in-office training.
