Develops resilient, scalable, and high-performing healthcare payment platform solutions across the full application stack. Designs backend services and web applications using Java, Spring, NodeJS, JavaScript or TypeScript, modern frontend frameworks, AWS, SQL, and REST APIs. Contributes to technical and product discussions, applies automated testing and continuous integration practices, and works independently with strong ownership. Preferred experience includes generative AI, machine learning, Kafka, data pipelines, statistics, and healthcare.

Designs, implements, secures, and supports multi-site enterprise networks across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Responsibilities include routing and switching, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, network access control, Zero Trust architecture, segmentation, incident response, performance optimization, modernization, documentation, change management, and technical mentorship. Serves as an escalation point for complex incidents and supports highly available production infrastructure.

Owns administration and configuration of Waystar’s billing platform, including billing rules, pricing, bill plans, product hierarchies, and lead-to-customer activation. Maintains integrations among Salesforce CPQ, Waystar, and Oracle NetSuite; monitors data quality, APIs, and billing exceptions; supports releases and incident response; and builds validation routines, dashboards, documentation, and workflow automations. The role also supports billing process improvement, vendor assessments, and platform roadmap planning.

Supports marketing campaign execution across prospecting, lead generation, nurturing, retention, and cross-sell initiatives. Coordinates inbound leads, email campaigns, webinars, database hygiene, QA, and campaign reporting. Creates Marketo programs and Salesforce campaigns, analyzes performance results, supports marketing technology implementation, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet campaign goals and deadlines.

Leads Waystar’s engineering strategy, roadmap, architecture, and delivery for its core healthcare payments platform. Oversees engineering leaders and teams, product development, scalability, reliability, security, DevOps, budgets, resource allocation, and timelines. Partners with product, sales, and executive stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions, evaluates emerging technologies, and represents the company’s engineering vision externally.

Owns the full lifecycle of technology initiatives from planning through launch. Facilitates Agile/Scrum practices, removes impediments, supports product backlog refinement, coordinates cross-functional teams, manages releases and defects, monitors SLAs, resolves conflicts, and provides stakeholder updates. Uses AI tools and analytics to improve planning, risk management, automation, and delivery outcomes.

Lead end-to-end implementation and adoption of Waystar healthcare payment solutions for enterprise healthcare clients. Manage project plans, milestones, risks, issues, resources, deliverables, status reporting, strategic reviews, client communications, and transition to enterprise support. Apply healthcare billing, reimbursement, enrollment, and patient payment knowledge to ensure project success.

Leads software quality assurance for web, API, and service-layer products. Responsibilities include designing test strategies and automation frameworks, creating and maintaining test cases and scripts, executing functional, regression, integration, usability, performance, and load testing, validating backend data with SQL, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, validating AWS deployments, managing defects, and guiding QA best practices while ensuring healthcare privacy and regulatory compliance.

Develop and execute consultative sales strategies for healthcare revenue cycle products. Prospect new opportunities, follow up on marketing leads, prepare proposals and contracts, manage account relationships, communicate product offerings, build territory strategy, and track sales activity and quota performance.

Serves as the primary client contact for Waystar solution setup and design during healthcare revenue cycle implementations. Ensures contracted deliverables meet requirements, manages deadlines, builds relationships with client stakeholders and executives, communicates implementation issues, assesses root causes and impacts, recommends solutions and costs, and reports on customer success. Requires healthcare revenue cycle expertise, technology and database knowledge, HIPAA familiarity, troubleshooting skills, and up to 20% travel.
