Summer 2027 Information Assurance internship supporting cybersecurity compliance, continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, RMF and NIST control activities, POA&M tracking, audit readiness, documentation, and cyber risk management for DoD and government programs. The intern will work with ISSM, ISSO, and industrial security teams while using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Develops offensive cyber operations software for denied and adversarial environments across userland, kernel, network, embedded, mobile, and network-device platforms. Responsibilities include CNO capability development, reverse engineering, binary analysis, exploit development, legacy-tool modernization, reproducible build systems, debugging, and low-level work involving compilers, loaders, memory, and runtime behavior. The role requires collaboration with defense and homeland security customers and travel as determined by the customer.

Conduct vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and binary analysis across applications, operating systems, kernels, mobile devices, firmware, and embedded platforms. Identify attack surfaces, analyze memory behavior, create proof-of-concept exploits, document findings, and contribute to shared security tooling. The role requires low-level systems knowledge, Python and compiled-language programming, security fundamentals, and an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI Special Access Program access.

Conduct vulnerability research through static and dynamic binary analysis, instrumentation, reverse engineering, and software development. Identify vulnerable code patterns, improve internal research tools, and scale and prioritize security investigations across complex technologies. Candidates should understand low-level systems, operating systems, compiler behavior, exploit mitigations, cryptography, and network protocols, with practical experience from coursework, CTFs, wargames, or related projects.

Leads cybersecurity program teams supporting customer missions and business objectives. Responsibilities include program planning, execution, requirements, schedules, costs, risks, customer engagement, technical issue resolution, business development, and proposal management. The role requires managing complex cybersecurity software development programs, coordinating engineering and functional teams, driving customer growth, and delivering mission-focused outcomes on time and within budget.

Design and execute manual and automated tests for Windows, Linux, and other platforms; create test plans, cases, and reports; run customer-witnessed acceptance tests; perform network packet analysis; set up virtual environments; use version control and bug trackers; mentor junior testers; coordinate with development and program leadership.

Lead FPGA firmware architecture and deliver real-time FPGA-based DSP for tactical SIGINT/EW. Migrate GPU DSP to FPGA, design reusable AMD/Xilinx IP, implement RF signal processing and protocol demodulation, verify and validate hardware, support bring-up and field testing, and mentor engineering teams.

Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and regression suites for a microservices-based RF spectrum platform. Execute lab, HIL, and outdoor field tests validating RF signal processing, direction finding, geolocation, integrations, and browser-based UIs. Create test plans, traceability matrices, and verification artifacts; collaborate with software, hardware, and systems teams to define acceptance criteria, drive defect resolution, and support CI/CD-driven QA and operational readiness.

Develop and debug CNO software capabilities, evaluate and upgrade existing tools, and engage in software analysis and reverse engineering for defense customers.

The Vulnerability Research SkillBridge Intern will conduct vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, and collaborate in a mentorship program to address security challenges.
