The Staff Application Management Specialist manages BlackSky's enterprise applications lifecycle, vendor management, budgeting, and ensures system security and integration with IT and Security teams.

Lead and grow a small legal and contracts team providing counsel on commercial, U.S. government and international contracts, export and regulatory compliance, corporate governance, SOX and risk management. Negotiate and draft complex agreements, support strategic corporate activities, manage outside counsel and litigation strategy, and advise senior leadership on operational, product, and regulatory matters in the space/defense context.

Lead architecture, design, test, and integration of electro-optical (EO) payloads. Develop test strategies, build and maintain optical test facilities and GSE, support satellite integration and on-orbit commissioning, characterize imaging performance, and collaborate across engineering, production, and operations throughout the payload lifecycle.
